A radical, lesbian, feminist i met briefly (phew ) told me that she had voted NF (in the late 70's) for exactly those same reasons. Then it was Callaghan's government, record inflation and cuts to be made.

What was your response to her?

I doubt mine would have been very patient.

What was your response to her?

I had flu at the time so I coughed in her general direction.
Then I said: "Don't you think that was rather an odd thing to do considering the NF's Hitlerite obsession and what the National Socialist state did to gays?"
She replied "I knew they wouldn't get elected."
Some bizarre logic in there somewhere.
It left me exasperated and at further attack from the flu virus.
