Hurricane Harvey hits the US

The atmosphere can hold ~7% more moisture for every degree of warming.
No one event can be linked to climate change, but it is "highly likely" that events are being made worse by higher sea level and greater moisture content.


Godspeed those still affected.

New Orleans is about to get a rather close shave with its levees from Tropical Storm Barry.
The advice is to stay home and ride it out so those levees had really better fucking work.
