Some of the most damning evidence against Dwyer came from an American woman, with whom he had shared an entirely online relationship. Her evidence - all to do with him wanting to stab and kill her during sex and how exciting that would be - was gonna be disqualified by the Judge apparently... and also she was wavering about testifying.

Til Dwyer - knowing she was on the witness list - sent her a Xmas card last december. Both the Judge and the witness regarded it as a deliberate attempt at intimidation. Hoist on his own petard and good enough for him. The sick cunt.

What I found almost as appalling as the subject matter itself was the melodramatic manner in which this was reported on. Like a soap opera or something...fifty shades stuff. Sick entertainment for the masses drooling over the whole mess. Next to no privacy for either the victim, her family or other innocents caught up in the rotten mire . Don't consider the bulk of that reportage as news, just drooling over snuff porn from atop a moral high horse with no legs.

During a two-month trial jurors were shown a series of disturbing videos of the 42-year-old architect stabbing O’Hara while she was tied up. In some videos she was heard begging him to “please stop.”

O’Hara was not the only woman filmed by Dwyer, who at times simulated stabbing those he tied up. The Garda Siochana is now attempting to track down the other women, depicted by Dwyer as his “slaves”. Some did not know they were being filmed because they were blindfolded.

When O’Hara was hospitalised after a suicide attempt in August 2012, one of Dwyer’s text messages read: “You must be punished for trying to kill yourself without me.”

And when she pleaded with Dwyer to make her pregnant, he replied in another text trying to persuade her to help him kill another woman. “Ok, a life for a life. Help me take one and I will give you one,” he texted her.
