I can't stop thinking about these groups of british people going off to fight for Israel. it worries me that I may have met people who might have done this, or know people who have. it's really upsetting me
I know a guy in the US who proudly tells all who will listen how he was a sniper when he did his time with the IDF (I've got a feeling he just did his voluntary service and spent a bit of time in a tower, then went home to the US) nevertheless, I could hardly believe he thought this as something to brag about.I know 3
2 I am still in vague contact with.......
Suspect if I voice any opinion that is real when I see them next, it may be reduced to none
An international inquiry into Israel's actions in Gaza has been launched, after the UN's Human Rights Commissioner said there was a "strong possibility" the country was guilty of war crimes.
The 46-member Human Rights Council backed a Palestinian-drafted resolution to begin the investigation by 29 votes, with Arab and fellow Muslim countries joined by China, Russia and Latin American and African nations.
The United States was the only member to vote against, while European countries - including the UK - abstained.
I posted some links about it if you check back..Anyone hear this discussed on the'moral maze'.
Was Honderich invited on to make the pro Palestine position look suspect?I posted some links about it if you check back..
Well he certainly wasn't given much opportunity to state his case, Mad Mel etc saw to that. Was Honderich invited on to make the pro Palestine position look suspect?
The leader of Islamic militant group Hamas has said there can be no ceasefire to ease the conflict in Gaza without an end to Israel's blockade.
Khaled Meshaal said Hamas would continue to reject a lasting ceasefire until its conditions were met.
It follows further Israeli air strikes and ground operations in Gaza, as Hamas continues to fire rockets into Israel.

@AJELive: 23 people have been killed in #Gaza this morning, raising the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli assault to 723 http://t.co/oVplPwKFNX
This killing isn't for the sake of Israel. It's for the politicians now in power in Israel. The hard right maintains it's power through non-stop war.......'we'll protect you'.....kind of Orwellian.Good morning!
Quite, so all the average listener would have heard was someone saying they support hamas and no explanation.Well he certainly wasn't given much opportunity to state his case, Mad Mel etc saw to that.
I wonder if the irish americans, sean hannity and bill oreilly of fox news supported the IRA as freedom fighters against british tyranny.Obviously, at the moment they are down on there knees supporting israels right to kill as many as they see fit. What would they have said if britain slaughtered over 700 of their catholic mainly civilian brethren in 2 weeks?

I would have liked to hear more of his position and less straw manning from Phillips.
Moral Maze - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04b1v8q
Presented by Michael Buerk. Panellists: Matthew Taylor, Melanie Phillips, Giles Fraser and Jill Kirby. Witnesses: Colonel Richard Kemp, Mehdi Hasan, Dr Hugo Slim and Ted Honderich.
Of the witnesses Ted Honderich [1] supported Hamas, much to Phillips's ire, he didn't get enough time to explain himself though. Kemp and Slim were middle of the road and Hasan was pro Palestinian (and well argued) but against Hamas.

No. Israel is one of the few and perhaps only country that has 100% pure proportional representation. Israeli's get what they voted for albeit obviously in coalition. This genocide is, like it or not, backed by a majority of the population.
