Galloway's Workers' Party of Britain

My point anyway is about contemporary extremists who have no hope of electoral success but who are adept at recruiting (and radicalising) vulnerable and/or inadequate people. What’s the anti-fascist strategy to counter this?
To get people thrown off Twitter? I am only half joking. I can see a point in a few decades when the entirety of political activity will be online (we may even vote online and not in person). If people/groups don't exist on social media they will be effectively neutered.

i am confused by Georgeous George. He wen't from being the authentic voice of British Islam and teaming up with Trotskyists to now being the authentic voice of Remain voters and teaming up with stalinists.

the politics of the CPGB ML, the stalin society etc. are also massively questionable, but they're just twats really who carry banners of stalin at May Day.

Questionable?

I'm not surprised to read that MMRPG games, popular with bedroom dwelling young men, are being used as recruiting grounds for political extremists. A perfect audience, in some ways. If you already have them isolated and shooting things, then you can work from the foundations they've already dug.

This will go the same way as as that other lash up between George and the ultra Left that ended in bitter recriminations. Although the CPGB ML seem to be a bit closer to Galloway's core politics than the other lot was, is much smaller and seems to be dominated by a single family (which makes it easier to control). Still, if it doesn't get any decent electoral results I can't see it lasting long. Plus Galloway seems more invested in Scotland these days so this may be a part time thing.

Its a useless definition Danny , sounds good but as I have said before the tactical consequences of the label are never applied in practice by anti-fascists who like the label. As Steeplejack said he's just a washed up cunt.
He's certainly a washed up cunt, but more than that he's a washed up cunt who's repeatedly been happy to use racist and sexist comments in an attempt to appeal to or boost his dying support.

Whether or not it's useful to categorise him as Red-Brown, I don't know and don't particularly care, TBH.

Now Brar senior has shuffled off into his dotage the children re-invent themselves and their party as twitter edgelords.

Still once the pandemic restrictions are relaxed and the "Rule of Six" comes back into play the entire party membership can have a confab about it.
There was tweet from daughter Braar with a photo of Embery's front organisation Campaign for a Democratic FBU saying similar organisations needed to be built in every union

what is your take on Embery, incidentally? (there's only so much comic juice that can be squeezed from withered lemons like Galloway and the hatstand Juche 4 UK fanclub)

EDIT- it's OK- I found the Embery thread- all qus. already answered. He's someone I've only been vaguely aware of through his book, but one of these names that circulates without ever being quite sure who it is. Seems a bit of a Spiked! fellow-traveller / polystyrene controversialist.

Whatever his past record as a rank and file activist in the FBU who had a times links with SWP and SP FBU members he's jumped the loop. His book makes some good points , however, these points have been made before and better by others. and without the collusion of Spiked, Blue Labour or the SDP. Embery's only activity now is Twitter propaganda, covid scepticism and waiting for the employment tribunal verdict. I tried a couple of times to try and draw him out about standing as a candidate, activity in the Labour Party but he wouldn't play. I don't think he's got the bottle for actually getting his hands dirty building anything politically. I think he's stuck now in a bed of his own making, I don't think his career as a contrarian has had the impact he thought it might, and whatever revenues from his book will fall. It will be interesting to see what if anything comes out of the employment tribunal.

There was a virtual hustings on the environment for this election the Tory winner's contribution was dull boring , defeatist, totally individualist, and amateur imo with no effort to dress properly

In contrast, the rousing, well thought out, and incisive and scintilating contribution from the tribune of the masses
