First Official Portrait of Kate Middleton

I knew one was called George, but learned the others today. I'll remember Charlotte, because it's a favourite name of mine but I've a feeling I'll forget about Louis rather quickly.
For a very long time I couldn't remember the names of the Charlie/Diana/Hewitt kids, till about 5 years ago really. Not so much my anti-monarchism as my brain. Doesn't help that they go by several names, William, Wills, Will, The Duke of Something, Prince Billy...

I'm picturing Baldy bonce bending over to take the snap on his bellows camera, Rose stood behind, lovingly ramming the size 9 strap-on in to the freshly greased royal annus, the groan he makes from a forceful push causing Kate and the kids to produce those beautiful, enigmatic smiles.
I happened to be eating a large (vegetarian) sausage at the moment I read that. (((My appetite)))) :(

Non-standard anarcho position: I actually feel quite sorry for her. She's had some sort of, presumably, serious surgery ( i really haven't followed it) or is having a breakdown. But she has to deploy her kids to feed the needs of the media and the institution. She has to do that, whereas Will Windsor plays a different role, doing his pre-King thing. It's the madness of the institution and the way it fucks up the family life of it's actual core family. It's royal madness with a hefty dose of patriarchy in there. It's the bullshit about duty that made the Elizabeth and Philip version of the family such a disfunctional skip fire. I mean, fuck 'em, fuck the lot of them and what they say about our society, but it's a nasty little institution in the way it twists its own children.

My view is close to Wilf 's. The Family were insular for so long, blocking outsiders from entering, and blocking members from going outside. You don't need to have watched The Crown to know what they do to outsiders: Diana, Catherine, Meghan, they're all chewed up once they've had their babies.

Sarah Ferguson is an exception. She betrayed them and yet she is still inside the tent.

I would think that’s a pretty standard anarchist view. It’s pretty much mine. The elite are also damaged by the hegemony.

She chose it though, it's not like Will/Harry who were groomed into it.

I suspect Sarah Ferguson knows too much

Aye, true and when it comes to sympathy I can think of plenty of others who are ahead of her in the queue. And, for that matter, millions of people whose lives are shit because of the system she embodies. Suppose it's just like moments like this where you see the absurdity of the whole thing in fine detail. The Spectacle has to be fed, so a woman has to force her kids into a grimace with all the rough edges photoshopped off. 'Modern life' and the media colliding with monarchy, producing an idiotic image that's both banal and unpleasant.
