1 September 2023: Home Secretary Suella Braverman: Woke police are damaging public trust:

Former PC Matthew Thomas, who resigned on 25 September 2023 with his last day of service 12 October 2023, and who was a member of the Metropolitan Police's paramilitary Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, has been dismissed without notice following a misconduct hearing finding that he had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour such that it comprised gravely serious misconduct.

On 31 March 2023, the Metropolitan Police's Directorate of Professional Standards became aware that former PC Matthew Thomas' phone number was linked to a phone number used in the suspected supply of drugs. A With Cause Drug Test was authorised and conducted on 23 April 2023, and PC Matthew Thomas provided a urine sample. Former PC Matthew Thomas was on duty at the time the sample was taken. On 3 May 2023 the Metropolitan Police's Directorate of Professional Standards was advised former PC Matthew Thomas had tested positive for cocaine. A Forensic Scientist concluded that the individual who provided the urine sample, former PC Matthew Thomas, had taken cocaine prior to the sample being collected (i.e. before going on duty with a loaded firearm).

The public could not have confidence in former Police Constable Thomas to protect them or others."

Coked up firearms officers, what could possibly go wrong there?

"The sixth suspect in the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence tried to stab a black security guard while saying he had killed before, the BBC can reveal.

The victim said Matthew White told him in the 2015 attack there had been no consequences for killing "Stephen".

White was jailed for four months but did not face charges for attempting to harm the guard or racially abusing him.

The Metropolitan Police says it apologises "if this was not investigated as it should have been" ..."

“We aim to take all reports of racial abuse seriously and we apologise if this was not investigated as it should have been.”

Oh for fucks sake, this beggars belief. Especially as Rowley likes to refute the 'institutional' part of 'institutional racism' description of the Met.

Christ.

Met: "We aim to take all reports of racial abuse seriously and we apologise if this was not investigated as it should have been."

(Note the "if".)

In a statement to the BBC, the Met Police said it understood that Mr Ikpeze had told local officers "that White had shouted racial abuse and made threats to kill" in 2015.

But...

CPS: "[T]he attack on Mr Ikpeze had been "a horrible crime" but there had been "no mention of racial abuse" based on the evidence provided by the police."

And...

Mr Ikpeze was not told White had been charged in relation to the incident, or that he admitted charges in court.

He only heard about the details from the BBC recently - more than eight years later. He was shocked to learn that White had not been charged with attempting to stab him with the syringe, and that the racism had not been reflected in the charges.

Deny, double down, finally apologise, say lessons have been learnt, until the next time they get caught out, and then it's the same routine again.

PC Rowan Horrocks was accused of raping the woman twice, biting her repeatedly and pulling out a clump of her hair during the alleged assault. Giving evidence at Leeds Crown Court, PC Rowan Horrocks told jurors that all sexual activity between the two was consensual.

PC Rowan Horrocks said that the woman had "seemed fine" and "a bit merry", and the bruising to her chest, neck and breasts was caused by him giving her "love bites", but denied that he "bit her very hard, repeatedly".

"I'm not the sort of person that would intentionally leave any mark on any person so bad," PC Rowan Horrocks said.

Five former Metropolitan Police officers have admitted sending racist messages on WhatsApp.

The officers pleaded guilty to sending grossly offensive racist messages, including about the Duchess of Sussex, at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The officers retired from the force between 2001 to 2015.

They served in various parts of the Met but all spent time in the former Diplomatic Protection Group.

The ex-Metropolitan Police officers are:

Peter Booth, 66, of Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, who pleaded guilty to four counts of sending by public communication grossly offensive racist messages. He retired from the Met in April 2001.

Anthony Elsom, 67, of Bournemouth, Dorset, who pleaded guilty to three counts. He retired from the Met in May 2012.

Alan Hall, 65, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, also entered guilty pleas to three counts. He retired from the Met in June 2015.

GarveyLives You are an excellent poster, but also a sort of obsessive poster. You are sort of strange.
This is not the thread for whatever point you're trying to make. Garveylives is no more obsessive than any of us on this thread, I for one also post a lot of links to similar news articles, Garveylives is more thorough than I am as I only check a couple of sources.

So please leave him alone.

The interview with the former head of diversity and inclusion for West Midlands Police in the same program segment was, if anything, even more shocking. When asked if he'd have confidence in the Police if he dialed 999, he stated that he probably wouldn't call 999 in the first place.

Yeah I listened to that on Channel 4 last night and was going to post something, it was absolutely shocking (from someone that isn't that shockable tbh)>

A former senior female police firearms officer has won £30,000 in a sex discrimination and harassment case against West Midlands Police after being stripped down to her underwear during a police training course.

Detective Inspector Kalam was told by another officer 'just because you have t**s does not mean you cannot do a press up', having pushed her neck down with his foot while she was carrying out the exercise, and was also forced to pose for a photoshoot when five months pregnant, an employment tribunal heard. Detective Inspector Kalam was also lined up to be the 'poster girl' for the West Midlands Police firearms unit she worked at and told she would not pass the training course 'if she did not agree to it'.

Detective Inspector Kalam - who was one of only seven women in a unit with 250 men - complained about a 'toxic and discriminatory' culture in her unit. She had been left feeling 'extremely uncomfortable' by her male colleagues who also drew male genitalia on notice boards around the station. Officers would have to treat a “bullet hole” at the top of her left breast, the tribunal heard, which made her feel uncomfortable. Detective Inspector Kalam said there had also been incidents where colleagues would draw male genitalia on notice boards at her station:

Detective Inspector Kalam was medically retired from the force due to her treatment, and has been medically unable to work since April 2022. The employment tribunal judge remarked that had she not been subject to such treatment, she would likely have gone on to promotion to chief inspector or superintendent.

The Deputy Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Scott Green, said: “I am sorry that more was not done sooner to address the serious concerns that Mrs Kalam raised and for the impact these have had on her.

“There is no place for misogynistic, discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour in policing and we are working hard to set and reinforce the highest professional standards.

Earlier today, Wiltshire Police's Swindon-based PC 2071 Kyle Carter was dismissed without notice after a hearing found his behaviour amounted to gross misconduct, such that his actions breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for police officers of authority, respect and courtesy, equality and diversity and discreditable conduct.

The allegations were that:

1. On 2 March 2023, PC 2071 Kyle Carter was on patrol with Police Constable A when he asked her questions regarding a colleague which were of a sexualised nature;

2. On 31 March 2023, PC 2071 Kyle Carter was on patrol with Police Constable A when he poked her in the arm and made a sexualised comment towards her;

3. During March 2023, PC 2071 Kyle Carter told a number of colleagues that he wished to have a sexual relationship with Police Constable B and he placed his hand on her back until told to remove it and touched her head, actions which were unwanted and inappropriate; and

4. On 31 March 2023, PC 2071 Kyle Carter attempted to patrol with Police Constable B which was contrary to the instructions of a supervisor.

210px-Wiltshire_Police_crest.svg.png

“The actions of PC Carter fell well below the exemplary standards of professionalism that the public quite rightly expect from all police officers and staff.

“His behaviour also directly conflicts with the culture we continue to embed within our organisation.

“Upon becoming aware of his behaviour, he was immediately suspended from his role and an investigation commenced by the Force Professional Standards Department.

“There is no place in Wiltshire Police for anyone who conducts themselves in this wholly inappropriate manner. PC Carter will now be placed on the national barred list which will ensure he will not be able to work in policing in future."

At Swansea Crown Court earlier today, former PC Nathan Collings of Diamond Jubilee Terrace, Abertillery, who had already been dismissed without notice by Gwent Police for conduct amounting to gross misconduct after an accelerated misconduct hearing on 23 October 2023, was imprisoned for two years and six months, having previously pled guilty to several offences, including stalking and three counts of controlling and coercive behaviour and two charges of threatening to disclose private sexual photographs or films:

Sentencing, Judge Paul Thomas KC said though former PC Nathan Collings was a trained police officer he was a "thoroughly unpleasant man with an almost pathological need to control", and he said the threats former PC Nathan Collings had made to harm himself if he didn't get his own way had "all the hallmarks of a cowardly bully".

375px-Gwent_Police_logo.svg.png

Speaking after the sentencing Gwent Police Deputy Chief Constable Rachel Williams said: "The offences committed by Nathan Collings are both appalling and shocking. We fully recognise the significant impact that these types of crimes have on victims. I would urge anyone who believes they are a victim of these crimes to come forward safe in the knowledge that they will be taken seriously and treated with compassion and respect ..."

Serving Metropolitan Police officer, PC Gerard Kennedy, who was connected to 'Met Operations' before his suspension, has been sentenced by Northampton Crown Court to six years and six months imprisonment after being found guilty of stalking. PC Gerard Kennedy committed the offence between February 2023 and March 2023 (i.e. after this revelation).

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Ashleigh Houlden of Northamptonshire Police said:

“I am really pleased that (PC) Gerard Kennedy has been jailed for such a significant period of time as it demonstrates the seriousness with which this case has been taken ...

“The seriousness of (PC Gerard) Kennedy’s crime would be enough if he were a member of the public, but to have been a serving police officer at the time makes this offence all the more distressing. He was meant to be someone whom others could trust with the worst days in their lives, and instead he chose to be the type of person he once swore to protect the public from ..."

The Metropolitan Police's Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed of PC Gerard Kennedy's case and a misconduct hearing will take place at the earliest opportunity.

Southwark Crown Court has now heard allegations that two Derbyshire Constabulary police officers 'used their position' to have sex with a drunken woman in a patrol car after she was kicked out of a nightclub.

PC Matthew Longmate was on duty with The Late PC Daniel Nash in Chesterfield town centre when they offered the woman a lift home following an incident at the Association Bar. The woman recalls having intercourse with The Late PC Daniel Nash while she performed a sex act on his colleague PC Matthew Longmate on 4 October 2015.

The Late PC Daniel Nash admitted misconduct in relation to the incident and to other offences of misconduct; he had previously been charged with 13 counts of misconduct in a public office between January 2015 and December 2020 in relation to relationships with 12 women he met, some of whom were victims of domestic violence or suspects in criminal investigations. He is now dead, but had also named PC Matthew Longmate, his partner on the night of the incident, as the other officer in the car on that day.

When PC Matthew Longmate was arrested in November 2021 he denied he had been in the car with The Late PC Daniel Nash at the time of the incident. PC Matthew Longmate denies one charge of wilfully misconducting himself while acting as a police officer.

The trial continues.

PC Matthew Longmate

Having claimed during his trial that the sexual assualt he was accused of committing on a vulnerable woman was a ‘physically impossible act’, PC Matthew Longmate who had sexual contact with a drunk woman in a patrol car has now been found guilty by a jury at Southwark Crown Court of one count of misconduct in public office.

Co-defendant, the Late PC Daniel Nash pleaded guilty to 14 counts of misconduct in public office, relating to sexual conduct with a number of women over several years. The Late PC Daniel Nash was sentenced in August 2023 when, due to ill-health he received a two-year suspended sentence. The Late PC Daniel Nash died of cancer in September 2023.

Derbyshire Constabulary has agreed that PC Matthew Longmate also has a case to answer for gross misconduct for potentially breaching police standards of professional behaviour.

Do you? What do you think will stop so many raping, abusing and being corrupt?

It is all about recruitment and personality vetting. They take on macho male role type supporters. And yet they act surprised when they get cunts.
I support more money for a reformed police service.
