Among other nasties, potatoes contain anti-nutrients, so you may well starve to death.and possibly dead in the morning, too.
Give over. All sorts of people eat all sorts of things you couldn't pay me to eat. Chacun a son gout, as they say.no sorry I’m not having it. People that eat raw potatoes and like it. You are freaks.
I recall radishes being a bit too hot for me - though I like a few radish shoots mixed in with my alfalfa ... I keep meaning to buy a mooli - I could always cook it if I didn't like it raw.Like my old man, I enjoy a serious radish habit. Give me a bag of them and a salt cellar and I’m like a pig in shit.
I love radishes - happily eat a bag in one go. Don't add salt though - that'd be weird.Like my old man, I enjoy a serious radish habit. Give me a bag of them and a salt cellar and I’m like a pig in shit.
What if the bag was this big?I love radishes - happily eat a bag in one go. Don't add salt though - that'd be weird.
Radishes don't have that effect on me.
Not all radishes are spicy, try a mild variety like French BreakfastI recall radishes being a bit too hot for me
Spicy is always good though - makes me wonder if they'd work dipped in chilli sauce, or slathered in wasabi. Not all radishes are spicy, try a mild variety like French Breakfast
My advice is to use mostly carrots - sweet fruit juice is generally a bad idea...Does anyone have a juicer? I get loads of apples around now that I mainly fail to use. I've seen one for £50 which looks tempting but I've no real idea what I'm looking for aside from easy to clean & gets a reasonable amount of juice out.
Good luck!Does anyone have a juicer? I get loads of apples around now that I mainly fail to use. I've seen one for £50 which looks tempting but I've no real idea what I'm looking for aside from easy to clean & gets a reasonable amount of juice out.
Fruit juice gives you a crazy number of calories without the benefits...yes fair enough, they are eaters and quite sweet. Is that mainly for protecting teeth though? Might still be an idea for the carrots because I have difficulty getting through them, too.
Juicers generally sit next to the toastie maker and bread machine at the back of people's cupboards.
From what I remember, you have to clean it straight away. Unless they've improved, it's still fiddly even then.I would dread the cleaning though, even if used once a week. I'm sure a dishwasher would help but I don't have one of them either.
Fair point. I do actually have an old home-made cider press but it didn't seem up to the job when I tried it. If I could make a fair amount of cider with the juice it might be worth the cleaning. Carrot and apple also sounds good. From what I remember, you have to clean it straight away. Unless they've improved, it's still fiddly even then.
