F1 2020

It looks like with all the different tyre choices the race will not shake out until after all the pitstops, for sure Lewis will fight Bottas but the midfield will be a good watch I think.

Catch you tomorrow for the race

I wonder why? I meant to look and see if I could findout but forgot

Sex change op. Coming soon, “Tessa’s Notebook”.

Put him in the ferrari

You beat me to it. I was just about to post a wildly uninformed and foolish comment speculating that Vettel’s pace drop this season might be a result of arguments between him and the team over lack of a new contract offer, and him signing off with a big FU by scoring as few points as possible. If that’s the scenario, I wouldn‘t be surprised to see Ferrari swap him out before the end of the year and they will need a fast, experienced driver with recent race experience.

I wonder how the Hulk would look in red?

Possibly? In my head he held him off :hmm:

Lewis is still my tip for the win.
Valerie a likely second.

^ hardly long odds on that

Rest is impossible to call.

Held him off, certainly, but Bottas closed a little on him. I would imagine Lewis will find a way past, hope so anyway  The romantic version is Lewis and Botty tripping over each other and Hulk taking his maiden win.

Sebastian Vettel has 'run out of answers' after poor Silverstone qualifying | Formula 1®

When asked how he felt about trying everything but unable to generate any good results, Vettel replied: “It’s very different to usual, let’s put it this way.” He added: “I don’t know. I’ve run out of answers.”

Nothing we have not already been saying but Ferrari must be considering moving him on soon. No doubt the Tifosi and Italian press are being much more brutal than most.

He’s a very silly boy. Or rather, his race engineer is, since Ocon made sure the world knew it wasn’t his own fault.

What these cars really need is some kind of proximity warning display on the dashboard linked to the circuit GPS.
This sort of thing should be covered by technology and team. There is a LOT going on in the cockpit and in the pits so will always happen.

I’ve high hopes for the race today. I don’t think last weekend’s somewhat processional race (up to the last few laps) will reoccur. Hulk managing to sneak past one of the Mercs off the line would set the tone in a nice way, and let’s face it, Hulkenberg has such goodwill from the fans right now, he’s virtually assured of winning “Driver of the Day“ unless he somehow manages to crash into and kill a passing busload of nuns and orphans.

The fragile tyres and increased number of pitstops should mix things up a bit and I’d bet my right arse cheek Lewis will somehow force his way past and take the win. Wish I could be there at Silverstone to see it live! :(

Doubt I would have blagged any tickets for it again but would have loved to have been there. The anniversary race in glorious weather. Lewis edging towards official GOAT status, Mclaren getting competitive finally and hosting a promising British driver. George Russell looking good even in a Williams. AND Ferrari giving the LOLs :D

Makes you wonder how they ever managed before all this technology.

Good morning race fans, looks like tyres could make the difference today as it is going to be a 2 stop race after what happened last weekend. Is Max the first driver (in the top ten) ever to have qualified on the hard tyre? I can't think if anyone having done it before. He thinks its the best choice but as all the top ten cars are very likely to 2 stop I'm not sure his gamble will pay off. I think the fastest way will be medium (15 laps), medium (15 laps), hard (I think Max will go hard, medium, medium maybe even sofy for last stint if he can run long enough on the hard).

Anyway it looks like it will be interesting at the start (first 10 laps) and I hope also for the last 10, midfield could be interesting with two stop, safety cars will also play a big part in pitstops depending on if and when they appear.

its is Binotto sticking his ten cents in that has pissed of Mr Stroll

no private agreement for the Pink Panthers

anyways for the love of god Hulk have a good Race ... :hmm:

aye Same, hulk deserves a little something but
in the back of my head i'm wondering if in the coping of the 2019 merc,
they remember the overheating issues that were the problem it suffered in Austria last year when it was 35 degrees
