Beloved conspiraloon and friend to the animal world, RFK jr is to investigate the alleged and much dismissed links between vaccines and autism.

According to wretched human being and protector of the rich, Donald Trump; autism "didn't exist 25 years ago".

Which must come as a surprise to all those people who are autistic.

A number of science Nobel laureates have written to the thing requesting not to give RFK Jr the position. They don't usually get involved in politics, but they are very worried about putting him in power. No doubt the orange one will ignore them.

The thing about science denial is that the facts are the facts and certain things do cause other things to happen, while other things do not. So you can deny it all you like but the only result of that denial will be that the things you don’t want to happen will happen. And vice versa. America has gained huge power out of leading science research. It has given them a lead in making the things happen that they want to happen. The result of blowing up that research will be to lessen their power. In the end, the politicians that deny reality will be king Cnut.

Soz, but you may have guessed already - I am raging at how much video is being used in lieu of print. It’s making me lose all reason.
You can’t even look up a recipe without being nudged to watch a video of someone making the dish instead of sending you to the recipe itself.

I have some sympathy with this, as someone who prefers written material to video.

But I find that just not clicking on video links works pretty well.

There's a general laid back and post almost any ol' shite in most threads. It's totally cool.

Pretty darn subjective what any one person deems shite. A video that is on Trump, the thread topic, seems to be far less shite, than some of your aimless off topic whining. Trying to detect if someone's a newbie or not (sometimes being wrong) as some kind of rod to pick on people for.
