He sounds like a cunt, and I don't like bullies, okay? The adulation of someone who behaves as such is a mystery.

I saw something this morning that might make you smile, that I missed at the time. Macron's tweet after the election, where he spoke of the orange one's convictions. It could be read like a compliment, but does anyone think Macron wasn't having a jab? His English is good I believe. Some might think he was trolling .

Possibly, but I hold Macron in contempt as well. Himself and Trump are both a scourge on the working class.

When I mentioned the content, I meant the way he applied his knowledge, actually arguing out a line that was relevant to the topic under discussion, which is why I say it was just what forums should be for, adds value above being just a repository for stuff we can read elsewhere, not that I mind being pointed to that either.

I think it's the circle jerk a few people seemed to have over the idea he would have seen us 'newbies' off. Certainly some people just gave their memories of him but others seemed to think he was something to be admired because of his acerbic nature which is all a bit sad and pathetic really.

The problem is that there really isn’t much to be said about Trump that hasn’t already been said over the last 10 years. There’s nothing new to learn about him and there is no new analysis to be had about his politics. The only interesting thing left to discuss is the failure of his political opponents. Which includes those Meidas Touch buffoons

And butchers is getting love because as bizarre and vitriolic as he could be, I learnt as much from his political analysis as I have ever learnt from anyone. He was a heavyweight and I’d swap him, warts and all, for anyone. I don’t come here for puff pieces and love hearts, I want intellectual rigour and butchers gave it in spades. And that’s all I’ll say on that.
