Argyle/Burlington socks are classics I think you'll find. I have black, red, orange, blue and yellow socks. Nothing outlandish in there at all.

I really did try very hard but I just couldn't help myself. Bought a pair today online. I'm really a size 4.5 but they didn't do half sizes, are they a generous fitting or do I have to chop off the ends of my toes?

Yes, they're on the big side. Mine are slightly too big but I don't care We'll have to synchronise our wardrobes if we go anywhere together.

As you got them first and I wouldn't know about them but for you, I'll let you have priority over wearing them. We mostly spend time together at festivals and generally wearing boots, I don't think there'll be a problem

Red glittery shoes arrived today. First pair of heels I have had in years and I love them. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to wear them with but I'll be wearing them a lot from now on

I have worn a djellibear (sp?) and found it rather uncomfortable to sit in unless you hauled it up a bit. I have a scarf, but wore a kuffi.

Its mainly the wrapping something round your head that makes me happy. A turban would do the trick

A kuffi is good when it is used as the 'base' around which you wrap the scarf. I haven't mastered the art of tying one yet though.

theres a point where if wrapped correctly you get a nice massaging pressure on your skull - it makes me feel calm this is based on me wrapping a tshirt around my head

Ive never been to africa at all, but having met some great people from Eritrea ive got it in my head that it would nice to go to the north east (love eritrean/ethiopian food too). I know thats not Sudan exactly, but from where I'm sitting it pretty close.
