Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

I ordered some stuff from Boden at the weekend as my mother gave me a pullout from the Sunday Times which offered 15% off plus a free bag for new customers. It came today - none of it fitted (sizing not very generous I think) and the quality wasn't good enough to justify them being twice the price of high street shops, but the free bag is great. The code is LNSU if anyone wants to take advantage (that's for the 15% off, the bag is automatic if you're a new signup I think).

I find Boden in larger sizer are really shapeless, and like you say, poor quality for the price. I fall for the lush catalogue all the time, though - their returns department must hate me!

What's the bag like? :hmm:

I've included myself for scale as it's big! It's something like 55% wool felt, with cotton lining and leather handles, much better quality than the clothes were and will make me a good knitting bag.

I can't find any mention of it on the website and I don't think it even came up when I was ordering, but it did arrive. Also it was free delivery and returns, which they don't normally do. I'd advise anyone ordering to do so by phone so you can check on all this.

What I ordered from them was two pairs of cords (cos I thought it would be worth the price if I could find a really nice pair that I'd wear all the time) and a cardigan. What's their other stuff like? Some companies seem to be better for certain things eg I used to order a lot from La Redoute and their coats and jackets were always really well made.

I gave up ordering trousers from Boden, they always hung in a peculiar way, not flattering at all!
Their tops, skirts and dresses seem to fit better - but they're not very sexy - more company directors wife than mistress :)

I've only had summer frocks from there - all of them like nighties - and a couple of cardies which were a weirder shape than me.

Got this from La Redoute, partly cos it looks a lot like Desigual.

As ever with La R, it's actually slightly better made than I expected. It comes in a 'dress' and a 'tunic' length, but being such a shortarse, I figured the latter would make a better dress on me, and I was right.

Hospital Records windbreaker!

and a very fine garment it is too, if todays weather is anything to go by I'm gonna get a lot of use out of it before the summers over:)

Haven't bought this yet but I do like it very much...

Only problem is I have no shoes or boots that would go with it... :hmm:

I bought a high waisted, pleat front stone coloured skirt which had a nice belt attached. It makes me feel a bit preppy and prim but that's not such a bad thing... Also bought this cardigan which will be very useful over the Autumn. It's light and I'll be able to wear it with lots of stuff.

I bought a hand bag that I hate from Morleys today.
I have to go to a wedding tomorrow and hate handbags but had to have one.
Blergh!

Every time I wear something in the russet to red colour range I always get compliments. The best compliments are from the girls at school. If a 15 year old comments favourably it means a lot.
