Just got this amazing book of a really nice collection of paintings by Parisian artist Sorolla and the best bit is each picture is accompanied by period costume that's modelled in the paintings.

Lots of checked shirts and T-shirts from Matalan, as I’ve just discovered they actually fit me, everywhere else having shirts of which the sleeves are or too long proportional to the chest size, or T-shits that are too baggy proportional to their length.

I made my partner buy some new trousers this week. He has 4 pairs of the same green trousers in various states that I was fed up seeing him in. He went to TK Maxx where he can usually find something but failed. He ordered a few pairs of jeans from ASOS & ended up keeping 3 pairs. I had to guide him through ASOS as the choice was way too much! Lol

I got these from ASOS too. I'd never normally consider cords but these are good and a bit different. Quality seems alright. I'm a bit worried I might ruin them on the bike as all my cargos seems to break on the saddle eventually. I've patched them up but not ideal. Will see how it goes.

I agree about ASOS. I was just flicking through the sale - 2000 items..... I don't think it's a site you can browse unless you have a rough idea what you want.

The actual shops were so rubbish, but I do like a particular type of cargo trousers so that probably doesn't help.

Can't remember whether it was this thread or another but killer b was recommending Uniqlo for merino jumpers and I had a mooch. Extra fine merino, turtleneck, thirty quid. Seemed pretty good, thanks for that.

Not bought anything from them before. Don't know if it was just me but their website is a fucking nightmare on an Android phone. Battled through though and got this summery shirt too. Might avoid the sock/sandal combo their model has favoured mind.

Was given some Danish merino wool walking socks.
They are fantastically comfortable. Lovely thick sole. I am amazed at how much better my feet feel after wearing them for a day.

The merrells were £108 - but that's with the discount card you can get at that chain (£5 a year so it's a decent deal).
