I've never done it so not really. I'd measure a line about 5cm up from the hem and make a 1cm tuck (pin first, then sew). Then keep making them. It might or might not work if the skirt is very A line, as the tuck could come out too curved to lie flat.

remember a 1cm tuck will take 2cm off the length. i seem to remember getting confused by that the one time i did them. went surprisingly smoothly technically, on a similar shaped skirt. good luck!

^ sandals are the fuckin biz. a bit squeaky atm but super-comfy, perfect fit (6 1/2!) and will hopefully fill my current "smarter than flipflops" gap

Decided my 15 year old Paul Smith suit (top) was not longer cutting it - and I'm no longer a 30 inch waist so off to the charity shop it went. Sad to let is go, but to my surprise the £99 M&S suit (below) was a much better look and fit. I only went in for a sandwich.
