Went on a charity shop trawl yesterday and got a pair of fleece lined walking trousers to wear at work (£3.99) a sparkly snow leopard-print jumper (£2.99) and a few stripy tops for £1 each. I couldn't find a decent coat or jacket though - which is what i was really looking for.

The tights that were supposedly indestructible...advertised with a video clip of someone trying to push a sharp knife through them.....

Well....they laddered first day out...not only did they ladder, but the ladder grew more ladders...



The only saving grace was that I had worn them with a black denim miniskirt and my cherry red dms...so I just looked a bit punk....

Bought a nice pair of pretend-DMs. Cherry red, 8 hole. £25. They're well-finished, and the leather took up the dubbin I put on them (if it doesn't, you can expect the leather to crack badly). Next thing to do is to give them a good coating of neatsfoot oil, then wrap them in a sheet, and beat the bejesus out of the heel area with a mallet (my favoured way of breaking them in, so that I don't get too many blisters).

They are reebok. I've never really been a fan of this brand but I had to make an exception I bought mine from ASOS.

I have been to ASOS sample sale which is like a jumble sale. Got this & 3 t-shirts for my stepson for £25. I got 2 pairs of dungarees & have a pair on now.

Have ordered these trousers due to having put on just enough weight around the middle not to get into most of my work trousers comfortably (I can do them up, but any tightness at all around the waist seems to give me really bad cramps), plus moths have eaten my winter trousers. Hope they will work. I have an annoying feeling I'm kind of between two trousers sizes now. They're supposed to be cropped but hoping they'll come out as full length on me.
