Just got this half price from ASOS to wear to a mate's wedding in December. It's not my usual style but the bride is a big fan of the swishy 50's dress so I'm thinking she'll approve
I'm still waiting for M&S to dispatch the boots I ordered on Sunday
The ones that had a note on them saying "order by 10pm (I did) and get them delivered tomorrow"
We're going away for a few days tomorrow and I would have liked to take them with me. I've emailed them to complain.
That's annoying. Were there different delivery options when you checked out? If you've paid for next day delivery then you'll at least get a refund of your postage.
It's standard home delivery, I'm not sure if I selected that option or if it was automatic
Delivery is free because I spent more than £50. £76 to be exact, and they've already had it from my account.
Standard delivery is probably 5-7 days. Next day would usually be extra and I'm guessing that's what they meant by the order by 10pm thing.
Doh
It's my first online order with them. I don't tend to order clothes/shoes online but I liked these and had a 20% discount voucher.
Oh well, you live and learn!
I probably could have had them sent to a store to collect the next day couldn't I? There are 3 stores which are easy for me to get to
Continuation of the boot saga.
I'd already sent an email of complaint to M&S before I'd realised that it was my fault for not choosing next day delivery
Got a nice email back with a £5 voucher and a promise that the boots will be despatched today
We're going away today so they won't arrive in time for that, but most of our time away will probably be spent in walking boots anyway.
I just hope that a) they get one of our neighbours to sign for them b) they fit and c) I like them when they finally turn up.
I've always thought of you as a young sophisticate, soj
it's how i've compensated for feeling a but rubbish at all this 'being a grown up' shit for the last - ooh - 20, 25 years?
I had an awful feeling the whole ensemble was going to look fucking shit, so tried it all on last night. Fuck me - it looks ace!! Yay - maybe my midlife crisis involves wearing frocks and mad make-up then!
I used to play with outfits all the time when I was younger, but stopped after an incident in my late teens.it's how i've compensated for feeling a but rubbish at all this 'being a grown up' shit for the last - ooh - 20, 25 years?
Thats lovely to readyI'm starting to finally regain the confidence needed to do dressy uppy, and not feel vulnerable, or stupid. And it's ace
Phd socks? Huh?TK Maxx - a shop I rarely venture into, have PhD merino smartwool ski socks for £7.99. They're usually £22 a pair, so I bought the last three pairs in my size. If they'd had more I'd have bought the lot.
If I buy some will they help me finish writing mine? They're incredibly intelligent, aqua.
I hope you do find it. It's crazy that I've had this young fresh body for years and did fuck all with it except hide it in big clothes and deliberately obscure myself. And now I'm getting wrinkly and have those dimply arms you get in middle age - and - fuck it! Who says I can't fucking do this?Thats lovely to ready
this is exactly where I want to be once I've had this baby. I've never felt so fucking shit about myself in my life as I do now and I hate it.
They also have a load of rough rinse LVC. Not that either of us need any more jeans...TK Maxx - a shop I rarely venture into, have PhD merino smartwool ski socks for £7.99. They're usually £22 a pair, so I bought the last three pairs in my size. If they'd had more I'd have bought the lot.
