These sandals - which will probably be alternated with my hiking sandals until one pair of them becomes unwearable for everyday use.

Okay urbs. In an effort to smile again I am planning mass purchases in the not too distant future. I want some ruddy decent bra and pant sets, 40G top and 18/20 bottom. M&S do at a pinch but I can never find top and bottom at the same time and I've had sets of 2 bras from them claiming to be 40G but one has been a good inch or so shorter than the other. So I don't mind splashing the cash on some staples but I'm a bloody odd shape. Any suggestions?

Also just plain v neck tops. Short sleeve. Big enough for my knockers, good quality, wash well.

How long is that frock on you, felix, roughly? It really annoys me that New Look never say. I fancy the red one.

And tops? I swear by Primark stretchy t shirts. Long sleeved ones in the winter, short in the summer.
Ah yes I do those ones already. I like them but they're a bit see through under the work lights. Doesn't bother me but I think the bosses might have something to say if they noticed! I want some that'll last me years rather than months cos I go through the Primark ones a bit quick with all the deliveries I lump about.

my spanglesandles don't fit. :(

they're on the small side for length, so i'll try the next size up... but unless the next size up is a bit wider they're no good. I could weep.

Here's hoping that the next size is slightly wider as well as longer, then. Still, if the company is as quick at sorting out returns as they were at sending the first pair out, you won't have long to wait.

Navy, quilted leather converse. I'd had my eye on them for a few weeks, then went into Office and they were on sale and of the two pairs left in store one was my size. So I had to buy them, right?

They're slightly wider than regular Converse and they match my navy silk shirt with gold buttons. So far, so waterproof

Summer is probably about to be cancelled. The shorts are Dorothy Perkins, then there's a pair of the sandals which I've very recently bought, but have reordered in black, a 2nd hand greeny grey silk skirt (Warehouse), and this 2nd hand navy & teal silk long top (shame it's lined with polyester) which needs minor alterations - that lumpy bow at the front works better as a halterneck, and the straps are a bit too far apart at the moment. OTOH seeing as the skirt was marked down to 99p with free postage, and the top was under £3, I don't begrudge 5 minutes and a couple of safety pins.

<snip> Greebo those sandals are really nice - are they Birkenstocks?
No, the brand is Cork and they're D4339. The sizes come up a bit larger than for most shoes, but the website selling them gave a measurement chart so that was okay. No idea how durable they are, but the leather is very soft and the footbed's pretty comfortable.

Hang on and I'll get the ebay link for them. There were a couple of other places selling them and there's a choice of white, tan, brown or black.

Bought a boyfriend cardie and some see through tops for work from Primark as a stop gap til I find proper ones. And a 2 bra set and knickers from M&S , in the right size and in the sale! So now I'm going to say I can never find Birkenstock clogs on the high street and hope that means I do find some as I moaned about M&S bras before :)

Somebody was looking for plain wedge heeled espadrilles a while ago but I forget who. Anyway are these any good?
Thanks- close but no banana. They need to fasten with straps/ties cos my heels are the wrong shape for sling backs.

In other news, though, the spotty crocs wedges are now a success, 2 whole sizes bigger than labelled. I bought some other crocs shoes at the same time and bought those all one size up. Crocs come up small, it seems.

However, 2 of the other three pairs I ordered are damaged, so I'm not enormously impressed.

I ordered a couple of Joe Brown dresses from SimplyBe thinking I'd almost certainly have to send them back... But they fit! One of them is pink and flowery which is so not me it's funny, but actually I like it! I think Joe Brown stuff must come up short on most people if it fits me.

Glad you've found a couple of things which you like and which fit. :)

Going by the lengths in the catalogue, most of the Joe Brown dresses are noticeably above knee (or even mid thigh) of somebody who isn't short, but great for anyone who tends to find petite ranges are still too long. I suspect it's why they also sell leggings. Less fond of their jeans - not one pair is less than 30" inside leg.

I have to wear Joe Brown dresses as tops. :D
