Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

The other petite trouser suit arrived - this one (Principles Petite) actually has a jacket with sleeves the right length on me, and trousers which only need taking up half an inch if worn with my highest heels.

This is a huge improvement on the Debenhams Petite which was a good few inches longer, both on the sleeves and legs.

The trouser suit got a serious "hotness" salute from me. Made an already-lovely person look lovelier, in my admittedly-biased opinion!

Evans. Surprisingly :D
They do occasionally get something right, so I tend to check their stuff in the same way I check charity shops - the one time you don't is when you miss something you were after.

Bought a lovely lipstick by Lipstick Queen today (Wine sinner in case anybody's interested),it's a good matt, non-drying, heavily pigmented lipstick. I've yet to see how long it lasts but I already like it.

Trying to buy clothes and stuff here before I visit England at the end of the month as when I'm back I inevitably buy loads of stuff made in China and then essentially repatriate it when I come back here.

Got three black burn-out t shirts (which I'm sure used to be referred to as devore? :hmm: ) and this top:

A racerback maxi dress made of teal viscose jersey.

It's already been hacked a bit because I knew it was going to be far too long for what I had in mind. The offcut is enough for a kneelength skirt.

BTW this is probably only going to be worn as one of two or more layers because the jersey is so thin that it looks more like bodypaint, and not in a good way. It serves me right for buying dirt cheap jersey.

Evans. Surprisingly :D

I tried your dress on but it looked dreadful on me.

I did try a couple of others that I liked but they're both 60 quid.

I liked this one but didn't think it was particularly flattering.

The other one was the same shape and sleeves as below but was floral and not spotty.

They didn't have the spotty one but I like that too.

I don't think any of them are particularly appropriate for a naming day anyway which is the only occasion I have to justify the extravagance.

Damn you moose, I never go in Evans. :D

Sorry :D
Neither do I as they've closed just about every branch round here now. :hmm:
I like that spotty one, too, but have nowhere to go in it.

I had a bit of a result today, also with an Evans dress! I was going to bin it, cos I hated it with a passion for being black and white. Dyed it red, and it's now my new favourite thing!

My chunky soled pink lace-ups arrived and they're too small. I can't return them or be botherd to engage in an argument over missizing with the seller; they're really shit quality too anyway. So now they are just sitting here taunting me.

:(

I have also got wean no 1 a pair of denim dungaree shorts and a black cardigan and some diamond pattern black tights to go with her purple and black basketball boots. She's practising to be an emo when she grows up.

secretsales currently have a smale range of melissa breathable rubber shoes - including some of her collaborations with vivienne westwood and karl lagerfeld, as well as melissa own brand. For those that don't know the brand, they have high heels and everything. these are not at all like crocs!

I bought these boots (last pair in this colour, sorry), which are westwood, reduced from £150 to £39

and more excitingly, these, which are just 'melissa' brand, but fold up for your handbag, for £25 (was £50)

sorry for huge photos. incidentally if any of you want to check out secret sales, and use this link to sign up http://secretsales.com/?invite=7335497 - if you make a purchase this month we both get a £10 voucher. tbh, a lot of it's either really expensive brands (so even with big reductions, not impulse-buy stuff) or boring, but some of it's really good - just very small quantities so you have to get in fairly quick.

This top, plus two more in different colours because I like it so much

Plain black ballet pump type shoes for work because the ones I have are falling apart
Trainer socks in various shades of neon
White t-shirt and a grey vest from sports direct
Pyjama bottoms with robots on which will have to be taken back because the one time I didn't check, the size on the label was different to the size on the hanger
Mouthguard and a gi for jiu jitsu

My gi has come but it's slightly too big. It's not massive though, so I'll probably just keep it and then buy another one in a few months..

Really like those addidas Fedayn.

I still need some brown/tan ankle boots because mine are almost dead, ok if it doesn't rain, but pretty worn on the inside, so not massively comfy. Maybe I'll get some insoles to extend their life :hmm:
