Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

I think part of the problem is that it really is a very nice dress, it wouldn't be easy to find another one like it, and if it's the first time you're doing that particular repair or alteration it's daunting. BTW I'm not volunteering as I'm not that confident with zips.
Yeah, I know. I'm just winding Ms T up :)

I'd probably take it to a seamstress

I don't own any nice jackets. Or i didn't, until I bought this

New polka dot Dolores doll dress from Collectif. I did have a couple but they were far too big and I flogged them on ebay (in fact one went for more than I paid for it  ). So this purchase ensures that there is a good chance I will be wearing exactly the same as spanglechick trashpony or gaijingirl on any given night out depending on which of my Collectif dresses I wear :D
I need to go to Collectif and investigate... You all look fab in your dresses but I've never tried one on...

You should do. It's worth trying them on as the sizing can be pretty variable between styles and depending on the material the dress is made from. The Dolores Doll is quite generous - the 16 is almost to big for me (I'm a 16/18), whereas the Violet can be quite small depending on how ample you are in the boob area. They have a decent selection of styles in the Covent Garden store on Endell Street and the staff in there are lovely :)

I think I'll wait till Feb when my figure should have settled down a bit. Question though- I'm tall ish, will they be ok on me?

Oooh love this! I'm getting very obsessed about moto jackets with padding on the arms at the moment, I've been looking at black ones but love the oxblood colour. Hmmmmm
It's great. I have never had a leather jacket because they tend to be quite boxy and therefore not very flattering for me as i have a small waist and quite big tits. The zips on this one means i can loosen it at the top to accomodate my tits and at the bottom to flatter my waist/hip line. it also has zips on teh sleeves which can loosen them for a slighty flared look... the detiling is excellent and leather is really soft and good quality; not at all squeaky. It's an awesome jacket.

I had to go downtown to pay a bill so I ducked into the funky campus vintage store. I bought a mink collar (the kind with the head biting the tail. :D) and a pair of salmon pink cats eye sunglasses. When I was a kid only ladies of a certain age and girth wore mink collars. I figured I've reached the appropriate level of both to carry one off. ;)

My vegan friends will hate me.

Moving away from the naughtiness, I realised recently that high waisted dresses with swooshy skirts are the most flattering thing on me and I really ought to buy any I see... Had my eye on this Boden one ever since, but they keep selling out my size (petite 10). Got it on not as good a sale price as the other week (when out of stock) but still about 15% off. Hope it fits, as it may take forever to wait for an 8 to come in if it doesn't.
