Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

Hmmm... there might be something in the clothes swap pile your new bra size mango5 (and quite nice)... I've held onto it for over 6 months now, and the person who left it hasn't come to pick it up. Will check the size tonight.

i bought some stuff the other day, but all I can remember is I got wonderwoman and dangermouse short knickers :\

Peacocks website is showing that it has the Pearl Lowe dress in a size 12, but actually it doesn't. :(

(not that I'm obsessively checking a hundred times a day, oh no....)

I got a black velvet jacket from new look. No picture as the website is down for maintenance. I love it.

and some whistles trousers (very wide legged, a bit like oxford bags, in light grey) for £8 in a charity shop

I was also tempted by this frock but it looks a bit shapeless and I can't tell how long is it - anyone seen it IRL?

I tried this on today. It was a reasonable length on me and I'm tall - it'd maybe be about knee length on you. It wasn't short like Dorothy P stuff is short. The neckline is lower than it looks on there, but in a good way. Didn't buy it as it's not a style for the pearshaped.

Bought a pair of leggings and a hair thing from New Look while I was there, and tried this dress on which is fabulously wigglesome but they didn't have it in my size and I already have a sexy black dress. (Well, it's probably not sexy on me but it shows lots of cleavage anyway.)

Then went to TK Maxx and finally found some plimsolls - black rubber Rocket Dogs  so i can retire my old trainers and keep them at my mum's house for walks. Also thought of Wayward Bob as they had quite a lot of high-heeled brogues.

Oooh, sounds like you had a mini-spree anyway! Thanks for the info on that frock, the length sounds tempting but not the shape.

It is nice, it wasn't a total no-no, but because my top half is smaller than my bottom half it sort of settled over my stomach bulges in a slightly unflattering way. I am really a size smaller on top than underneath though.

I have that dress. I'm quite pleased with it. I was worried it would be quite shapeless but it works on me. Doesn't cling apart from the bust but also doesnt just hang off my tits.

in black, which look a bit twee but are actually nice on, with a nice round toe and thick heel. Good for work.

And a black poloneck and a long aran hooded jumper which I'm taking back because I was hoping it would be long enough to wear as a dress but it ain't. Also a grey stripey jumper dress, and two pairs of 100 denier black tights.

Was that TKMaxx in Lewisham? :hmm:

Colliers Wood :( (The :( is because Colliers Wood is an awful place and I only go there very very occasionally, and only because it is the only New Look left in London that does the Inspire range apart from Westfield).

Are they really the only new looks with inspire? That's ridiculous. I've taken to ordering online and returning armfuls to my local one. It annoys me tho as it's arse and i have to pay for delivery. I do keep filling in surveys and moaning at them.

Actually I dunno, those were the only two I knew about, but just looking at their site it does say some other ones do - Lewisham, Wandsworth, Oxford Circus, Gracechurch St. I'll have to go and look at the Oxford Circus one some time.

Oh and Sutton does, I went there once in pursuit of a dress.

Very pissed off I was when both Brixton and Marble Arch stopped doing it at the same time

I got a winter maxidress from H&M in a muted pallette of browns, greens and pinks. Am rocking it with a pale pink cardigan from Uniqlo and some ancient wedge boots in green suede which I rediscovered in my recent clearout.

Back in stock now, so just ordered it. :)

I've got into sweater dresses for the winter; I only have two, a tenner each from the market, but I might get a third at Peacocks next time I'm in that area. The main purpose of the sweater dresses is to show off my lovely new riding boots (I posted pics in the boots thread).

Today I discovered that the dog had eaten my handbag. :( I've bought a sensible, simple shoulder bag that could take a laptop, and am going to get a smaller prettier handbag too. I also bought my ex a little manbag thing to take to a wedding - it's not that smart, but the only smart bags are either really expensive or really girly. The big bag was £9 and the little one £4 from one of the many 'wholesale' handbag shops on my road.

Not twee at all - they look classy and sexy.
