Critiquing Oasis

IMG_7698.jpeg

Selecting a number of tickets below 2 (in other words 1) got me through to the next page.
Only to be confronted by a box that has to be completed with no option to complete.
I’ve given up.

I'm convinced you need to employ a firm of computer nerds in India to actually score tickets to this. I feel bad for those that really wanted to go. Especially those too young to see them the first time. I seriously doubt this will be a one off anyway. Too much interest. A world tour becons. Glastonbury, Coachella etc. It's inevitable IMO.

Seetickets are also selling them, but I just looked and the site is down. I'm not buying, was just interested to see what is like. I always use seetickets rather than ticketmaster, but they won't have the infrastructure that ticketmaster have to deal with the numbers.

It's not like they are playing the odd venue with very limited seating. I'm guessing every gig is 50,000+.
I suspect the touts computer bot things grabbed many of the tickets.

I bet the tribute bands will also do well with people falling for the hype and not being able to get tickets to the group.

I was prepared to entertain his arguments…

Then I saw his face. I’m not a believer.
Grumpy sourpuss face. Bet he doesn’t even like cheese or puppies.

For those who got the tickets, don't forget to get the look
Christ. Ever the guardian is all over it. 😓

Every time someone posts that not liking Oasis or not being remotely arsed about the reunion means you're classist and anti-northern, I feel like pointing out that my favourite band are these guys. Who are also northern and working-class. And the music press fucking hated them in the '90s.

Not liking Oasis does not make you classist. FFS. There are plenty of other working-class bands out there. Many of whom can't get a foot in the door because of how much the music industry has changed.

Me too. I like Oasis but not enough to see them, and certainly not enough to fork out tons of money for them, but I genuinely feel sorry for people who like them but can't afford it. It's shit.

My brother paid £1k for 2 platinum tickets for London

He offered me first refusal on one of them, I reminded him it's around £200 per night for a hotel room in London, chuck in breakfast/dinner/erbs/London guide etc. he'd be lucky to get all that for anything less than £500 so if he wants to stay with us then yea first refusal :)

I know, Space are pretty much unrecognisable now. Especially Franny (the one on the far right), who now looks like something out of Game of Thrones. Jamie (the ginger one) left in 2001 and came back for the reunion in 2011, left again and temporarily came back for the Spiders/Tin Planet tour, and Andy, the original drummer, died in 2009. His death was why they got back together, but they had to get a new drummer (Allan, second from right) because Leon, the last one, had moved to Australia. Al is a punk, so his drumming style actually fits the Spiders stuff a lot.
