COYFI West Ham United 2017/18

And we've offered Sakho a new contract.

Oh god, we're so ridiculous.

I've no doubt that Sullivan on occasions can be both however Sporting are notorious for their negotiating tactics . According to the Portuguese papers West Ham alleged that William hadn't trained or played and wasn't fit ( to try and get the price down) however he played in a friendly and has played for Portugal.
He is a very good young midfield player with great positioning and tactical nous. Sporting like the other top Portuguese club will sell ( they and the others owe huge loans to banks at high interest rates) but they will only do so at an inflated price. In this case there are other clubs interested as well.

Sporting are now threatening to report us to FIFA for tapping up the player. And Sullivan (probably) has leaked two emails which were sent to them offering 25 million Euros for Carvalho. They say they never received them and they're not true.

Everybody involved in this whole fiasco is fucking ridiculous.

The H List: West Ham and The Year of The Long Knives

Just about sums it up I think.

I was telling my son about all the "hilarious" things West Ham have got up to over the years (Omoyinmi, Ashton's injury, Faubert's injury, Andy Carroll injuring himself playing table football "not even real football!") but I forgot about Joey Beauchamp getting homesick for Oxford.

Oh god,Andy Carroll gave himself whiplash scoring that overhead kick last season. Another one for the list.

Biggest home game of the season for some this weekend.
I never got the spurs hate bug. I'd take the draw right now to be honest, pray for win obv!

Awful game, neither side deserved a win. Another huge crowd.
Glad we got a late winner for a change though.

I spent the afternoon making pizzas for 15 8 year olds. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

Zabaleta.
"Not the best performance today but massive 3pts in the end. It's always important to win games like this."

What on earth does "games like this " mean!?

I watched this in Portugal whilst watching Estoril v Boavista at the same time. You didn't deserve 0-3. For most of the game you controlled pretty much everything. It is just the lack of imagination in attack. Trying the same old, same old all the time when you know it isn't going to work against a solid defensive team. You are in danger of sinking if you don't find the cut up front.

Two good goals by Brighton mind. And, a very tired, clumsy penalty. I don't think you can blame bad defending for the second goal. That was the difference.

Went well I thought. Hernandez is the answer to our striking problems and loving the partnership between Reid and Fonte at the back. We just need Carroll back to really make a run at mid-table glory.

Sport TV 3 has the English games including those at 3. Benfica are in at 6 tomorrow , the same time as the local bar hads Portuguese karaoke which should be fun.

This has fuck all to do with West Ham...

Perhaps a new thread somewhere. Very nice to see Villa get back on winning tracks. Watching football on Portuguese TV can be depressing, and also very revealing. Even within the BIG 3, there are so many empty seats. Really makes me wonder if an argument for a Portugal/La Liga alliance isn't as valid as an argument for Scotland joining the English Football League.

In Portugal, I am obligated to follow, and support Football Clube Portugal simply because Manager is my favourite Portuguese client. Up there with my best known clients, and he wants more from me :) Comfortable win tonight. However, I am thinking more and more that the only way to break the Top 3 thing in so many leagues is to amalgamate in a way that doesn't devalue the Champions League. That isn't really an answer is it?

I only watched the second half. For some reason I didn't think it was on the telly and I wasn't bothered enough to check.

Glad I did.

Lanzini stood out for me. That bit of skill to set up Ayew's second was brilliant. Hope this kickstarts our season but let's see.
