No pictures as I was driving, but followed a 1986 red Lotus Eclat round the M25 on Monday morning. It didn't hang about once the traffic cleared.

I saw a sad builders’ merchant truck this morning. The generation of Mercedes trucks after this as 10 a penny..I’ve no idea what age this is.

Why? It's only a 604. You can buy very nice examples for 10k euros all over Europe. That one is already too far gone to make a restoration anything other than an expensive exercise in futility.

This is a not-so-nicely preserved Alfa 2000 I spotted on my morning walk.





It hasn't been taxed since 1983 and looks as though it might have last changed hands in 2000.

When I started driving a 50 year old Alfa looked like this

The second classic I’ve spotted in a week, this time a Plymouth Barracuda from 1965 in showroom condition! Just sitting there in a supermarket car park in Finland.

Went to see a Baccaruda ( ) in the late '80s that was for sale in Wembley. A 318c.i. model that was rough as old boots but sounded like thunder once the seller poured some petrol into the big Holley carb.
I thankfully walked away from that one.

The road running parralel has some nice Morris Minors in it too.

That's a Maserati V6 engined SM.

Sat in one at the 1972 Motor Show and it blew my six year old mind.
