I'm totally confused. I didn't recognise the car in the photo but when you said it wasn't a Dolomite I remembered the 1970s Dolomite was a re-use of a name that Triumph had previously used in the 1930s.

I wondered if there was a sister model back in the 1930s called something else so I googled it. It does seem to be a Triumph Dolomite Straight 8 (one of three according to Wikipedia) before the more mundane Dolomites of the 30s with fewer cylinders were produced.

Have I missed something? Is it a fake?

There was a Seat saloon version regularly parked near us when we lived in Ribadeo. It as owned by the owners of the local Opel dealership and it was often there when I took my Astra Bertone in. It was a very good looking car.
