Sorry, what is your point here? That it's supposedly against the rules to start a thread about a band that you like and happen to have been in briefly in 1990?
Or if you re-join them eight years later, you're somehow disallowed from mentioning their gigs ever again?
Or that it's against the rules for community members to post up details of their own gigs/clubs?

You're wrong on all counts anyway as there are plenty of threads here advertising club nights and gigs by community members, but feel free to report those posts to the mods and see how far you get.

If someone claims they are “up” it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume they mean they are better off by that amount. Yes, you could argue that if they are referring to their business that they could mean their top line is up but posting pictures showing them quaffing champagne doesn’t align with the fact that they are not better off.

I guess it was just the context of this thread that made it confusing to me, as the thread isn’t really about flights at all, so it kind of came out of nowhere.... and I am sure you also posted it with an element of wind up right?!
