Yes I think a lot of Scottish singers sound a bit like they are putting on american accents when they are singing (to english chump ears).

He's mostly singing in tune on The Stone Roses. Certainly more often than Liam Gallagher. I Am The Resurrection is not an easy song to sing but Brown hits all the notes.

Liam Gallahers voice really grates on me, I can't stand it. It seems to hit some some sort of irritating frequency. . . . however I can't include him on this thread because I think all the music is shite too, so I can't say he is 'ruining' it.
Perhaps if someone else sang it wouldn't sound quite as bad? But Oasis fans seem to like what he is doing so what do I know.
