I'm warming to them.I like the way the US play.
Imagine following a team with the US players' attitudes... I mean just imagine not having total contempt for your national side for once...Jeees, the US are a fit bunch. Incredible how hard they work.
Well, sort of. Thus far every game in the 2nd round has seen the favourite qualify...Proper grafters world cup this one.
Pah, mere facts!Well, sort of. Thus far every game in the 2nd round has seen the favourite qualify...

. It's almost like watching Premiership QUOTE]
Except for Fellani playing for a good team.
I think some quite lackadaisical refereeing has enabled that. Firstly cause there's less interruptions fot free kicks, secondly less players playing for free kicks, and more counter attacksI'm really surprised how attacking and hard working teams have been, especially with the heat. It just seems to be such a turnaround from the general slow possession based style we're used to. It's almost like watching Premiership in terms of speed.
I don't care about their FIFA ranking, but the US are a great team that's only going to get better.
Usually only *just *!Well, sort of. Thus far every game in the 2nd round has seen the favourite qualify...
It's about the overall performance and commitment. You're easily impressed. They've had about 2 chances all night.
Well Costa Rica, Colombia & Belgium/USA aren't very familiar quarter finalists - even if the latter two were a lot of people's dark horsesYeah for all the good football of the underdogs There's a distinct familiarity shaping up to the teams left.
Yeah very much so, only Colombia have won with much to spareUsually only *just *!
I dunno, Howard has had to rescue USA a few times...Two excellent defences in this game
If their performance was 'great' they would have at least looked like scoring after 80 minutes of football. Running around a lot and trying their best doesn't make them a great team. It's about the overall performance and commitment.
