Belgium v USA (Knockout Stage) Tuesday 1st July 2014

great great game. USA really made a go of it and nearly pulled it off. I really wanted them to equalise and then belgium beat them on penalties. All the new yank football fans need to know the full agony and ecstasy of world cup football.

I think Belgium vs Argentina will be a great game. Both teams will want to attack. Belgium look like they are steadily getting better, but dont seem so good a keeping a lid on a lively opposition. Argentina have been unconvincing against defence minded opponents, but this could be a much more open game - and they have messi.

If Argentina - Belgium is half as good as the game in 86, we're in for something special.......

Oh wow, just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it just does.
What a match, that last section of ET was incredible, I thought I was going to have a cardiac.

Tim Howard apparently has Tourette's, I would have loved to seen a mic pinned to him for that match. He was incredible and joins a list of goalies at this World Cup who have been quite brilliant.

From an American perspective football will have taken a mighty leap forward to going mainstream after these adventures which has to be a good thing in many ways.

Can last night be topped?......

Sorry ska invita, I didn't see the question at the end of your post.

Swindon Town have had the Robinettes since the very early nineties. So all the big clubs. ;)

While we're being patronising to the US about football, I think the fact they got beaten by Belgium is a nice touch! The chant Who Are Ya wouldve been appropriate i reckon

Never been so disappointed as a neutral to see a USA team lose,no cheating and no bus parking by them either,Howard was exceptional, the much hyped Belgium turned up last night, could match the 1986 side and make the semi's.....

when the septics begin to take football seriously, they will clean up - the fitness and passion made the ingerland team look like pensioners
