Was listening to the actual BBC news yesterday and seem to remember mention of around 200 issues a week? (or month? can't remember
) - so a lot to investigate. Many are completely unfounded, and involve people with MH/parasocial issues. The complaint sorting process is just slow and ineffective - maybe the BBC needs more people working on this. Pay Gary Lineker a bit less and hire more staff to deal with complaints?
Surely I'm not the only thinking The Sun/DM/conspiraloons are using this as a stick to beat the BBC with - there's a lot of people who think of it as biased and part of the "MSM liars/manipulators". When in fact this is a man who behaved potentially unlawfully, but it's not just a BBC problem, it's a "famous, powerful man" problem that is endemic. There's too much good on the BBC and some bad - but sadly those who hate the BBC are looking for any excuse to shut it down.
