I'd agree that there's a real chance America would do anything they can to get their hands on him, including getting the Brits to snatch him off the street (though they would by far prefer to do it through a 'legal' extradition). He has a legitimate fear that leaving the embassy will lead to onward extradition - even if that didn't ultimately happen. My beef is with his fawning supporters*, so keen to minimise what he is accused of, right through to Galloway's vile comments ('poor sexual etiquette'). It really should be possible to argue he is at risk of extradition without abandoning 30 years of sexual politics and understanding of what amounts to rape and sexual assault.

Plenty don't have a permanent guard on them from the UK police, and guess this one is pretty low down the list of ones at risk from anything. They still have the relevant police in patrols that pass them on their route and are always in the vicinity though.
