Argentina has a new president-elect, Mauricio Macri, who is a right-winger and wants stronger ties to the USA. He wants Venezuela excluded from Mercosur (the South American trade group). He plans to privatize state companies and wants a business-friendly environment.

He may find it difficult to push through political change as he doesn't have a majority in either house of congress.

I'm not sure what his views are on the Malvinas

i've no idea of his private views, but in public he appears to give less than a shit about the Falklands. he said during the campaign he'd get rid of the comedic post of 'Minister of the Malvinas' and forge a rather more grown up relationship with the UK.
