Amanda Knox is Free - NOT GUILTY

Oh fuck off. I stated up-front that I bumped the shortest thread (to minimise inconvenience for people trying to work out why it's been bumped in case that's not fucking obvious

And to maximize inconvenience for everyone who now has to repeat the arguments that they made, in detail, on the other thread. The one you failed to bump.

Why don't you just forget about wasting peoples time here. Forget about the other thread and link to Guede admitting that he is guilty?
I can't find it anywhere.

I'd much rather everyone "repeat themselves" with up to date opinions and views, than read another meta-conversation about the thread itself.

If the thread bothers you, phil, just ignore it.

We went through all this on the other thread.

The one you failed to bump.
Thus ensuring that we would all have to repeat ourselves endlessly on this one.

Then just link to your source (that nobody can find anywhere on the internet about this very very high profile case).

Fair enough. I guess he either posts it or it's just ignoring the loon.

Ignore the loon. He will never, ever make sense on any thread where he has started with transparent lies and overblown language. It's a very reliable indicator of how disingenuous he is being on any given thread.

There's a 41 page thread on this already. The link to Guede's jailhouse confession is in there.

If you think I'm searching for it, you're mad. You search for it, and come back when you've found it.

It would really have been much easier to link to that thread in the first place.

Link to the other thread.

That's not too overblown for you is it?

As you're well aware, the police claim that a lot of people "admit" stuff to them. Sometimes the police even helpfully write out the admission for them, if the suspect's hands have somehow become damaged.

Yes.

In fact the intelligent reaction to my point would have been to note that Knox has also admitted it.

Another point that was dealt with, in detail, on the other thread.

But if no-one bumps the other thread, phil doesn't get to posture and preen and reiterate his earlier risible arguments!
That's inhumane!

I don't remember Guede confessing. He was the only one on whom they had solid forensic evidence though, while the case against the other two was largely circumstantial, based on a lurid theory that was always rather ridiculous, if very Catholic.

It is precisely to avoid having to reiterate my arguments that I now demand Ymu bump the other thread.

I suspect her reluctance to do springs from the fact that my arguments were proved correct, both on that thread and in court.

And yet the degree of coercion and entrapment used to elicit the confessions was very different.

I though of bumping the other thread (which I did not subscribe to) when I saw the newsflash. I didn't know about this one. Then I thought 'what the fuck, there are far more important things to worry about than this; in any case judging by the 40 odd page epic that is the other one it will inevitably descend into unsavouryness and bunfighting'

*unsubscribes*

He didn't confess, as such. A fellow inmate informed the police that Guede had confessed to him, and "sold" the confession to the authorities in exchange for favourable treatment.
Like most if not all jailhouse confessions, it needs to be taken with an excavator bucket full of salt.

Other thread. Dealt with in. Already.

As were the people on whom they were used.

You don't say!
And yet doesn't it speak to a lack of character, a lack of robustness on Knox's part that she "confessed" after being exposed to only a small percentage of the treatment Guede was subjected to? :)

Yes it does. That's why she can't have been guilty, among many other reasons.

We've been through this in great detail on the other thread.

I don't see why we should have to repeat ourselves on this one.

If you're that bothered, link to it yourself. It's hardly the work of a few minutes with the "search" function, after all.
