Aiden Burley's Olympics tweets

Notice how the 'intellectual' Nino never actually answers any points made but chooses to write instead about the utter dreadfulness of the poster?

(And what's more-he thinks he can insult or offend me.)

Talking to yourself again, LLETSA?

You haven't engaged me once on this thread, save to insult me.

Get a room, you two. Please?

I tried to call a halt as early as yesterday-continuing, as you can see, today. I can't help having stalkers.

But can't you come up with something more original than the cringey 'get a room'?

Contrary to what you may believe, the world does not revolve around you. You came to this thread and have made zero contribution. All you've done is snipe and sneer (which is what you're good at). If anyone is "snapping at heels", it's you. You're a deluded fool with a massive ego. You always have to have the last word.

Now fuck off.

The remnants of the radical left, in joining in with these sterile cries of outrage, reinforce this bland consensus, thus deepening their apparently unwitting commitment to their contemporary role as metaphorical bag carriers for soft-left and liberal commentators.

I love the way this begins with the usual clichés and assumptions. The fact that Burley set up TURC to further smash what's left of this country's trade union movement, with Cameron's approval doesn't seem to matter to LLETSA.

This is what happened: I made a comment directly in line with the subject of the thread. You chose to make a childish comment in response. I replied and, as usual, you decided not to write about anything I said but to tell me what a rotter I am. That's fine if that's what you want-but don't be surprised when you get some back.

Not that any of this actually fucking matters.

The thread is about whether public figures should be allowed to make statements that fall outside the smug liberal consensus without everybody calling for them to be disciplined or sacked. I don't approve of either what Burley said or any other actions he may decide to take.

Luckily, though, by posting tut-tutting comments on messageboards like this for the edification of like-minded people, you might be able to head Burley off before he 'smashes' what's left of civilization.

I don't think many of us disagree with you on this issue, that "figures should be allowed to make statements that fall outside the smug liberal consensus without everybody calling for them to be disciplined or sacked" - do you think many on here/or amongst "the radical left" as you call them, DO disagree ?

LLETSA keeps changing the goal-posts He lost the "free-speech" libertarian baloney he was coming out with. Now it's, "everybody calling for them to be disciplined or sacked" made-up type of baloney.

There is no changing of anything. I said all along that it seems that no public figure can go against the smug liberal consensus without a chorus of professional liberals and their gobshite hangers-on calling for them to be sacked or disciplined.

Amazing how the leftie dinosaurs stick together, completely oblivious to how they've been reduced to liberal cheerleaders.

Yes.

all i saw was people slagging him off for being a knob, which he is

At least one poster said he 'would have sacked him myself.'

(Actually, I don't know what I'm bothering here for-I'm off out for a couple of late pints.)

My, 'I couldn't give two hoots about the cretin' is in a personal capacity.

I couldn't give two hoots about him either, as I've said, but I'm not the one who's outraged about his idiot remarks and routine Tory right posturing; you are.

You really are clutching at straws with this one LLETSA. My pointing and laughing gives a clue.

Guess what? I'm now pointing and laughing at you.

Maybe you'll be able to add this pointing and laughing at me to your repetoire of anecdotes. It'll be one of the only non-fictitious ones in there.
