I got a proper look at Carrie's arch nemesis the fox today as it was quite near the back door (so much for the Scoot). It's really a beautiful creature in great condition with a fabulous coat, and suspiciously well fed
She was by the cat flap just now, contemplating whether she wanted to go out, but wisely decided not to!Aye dont let her out today. Not lilith weather by the sounds of it.
I am surprised no one has objected. I’m not sure where else he frequents around the site, he tends to wander around the grounds, so we may not see him for a week or so, but then he turns up out of the blue and has a sleep on a chair for a bit before demanding to be let out.I love that you have an office cat. I did try to adopt a stray as a Uni cat (when I worked in HEI) but ridiculous bureaucracy nixed it (E.g. “I’m allergic”, “Cats are full of fleas”, etc ) so eventually someone in the library adopted the wee soul. I just couldn’t believe how many people objected to the proposal of the collective care of an unwanted soul. Hard hearted bastards
He's gorgeoussuch a beautiful face! (the orange one)
I think it’s a sign of your colleagues’ good characterI am surprised no one has objected. They missed the obvious one of throwing up under the bed.
Kizzy puked in the bedroom for the first time in aaages the other day, heard her from downstairs (luckily not in bed) so ran up and saw one little bit, cleaned it up and checked on her, washed hands went back to bedroom to get dressed and there was another quite a bit bigger bit so had to repeat the cleaning processThey missed the obvious one of throwing up under the bed.
It doesn't matter how sound asleep I am, a cat has only got to start retching under the bed and I'm suddenly wide awake and shouting whatthehellareyoudoingunderthere!
Someone should invent an alarm clock that mimics that noise as I'd defy any cat owner to sleep through it.
Ah - my Vic!
Indeed it is! I like to think they’d all be friends in real life
Awww, poor baby. Hope it's as painless for him as they can make it.Oh well, back for another enema tomorrow for our Jocks, unless he manages to go tonight. Steroids turn his bowels to stone. He did one tiny hard poo today, and two not quite as hard on Friday. Gonna cut out his dry food brekky, give him wet food only, lots of milk (he loves it), and keep on with the lactulose. I fear another bum trauma is inevitable though.
Crisis averted! He's just done a mahoosive stinky shitAwww, poor baby. Hope it's as painless for him as they can make it.
Yay, great news! And hopefully no fish heads.Crisis averted! He's just done a mahoosive stinky shit
Hahaa, no, no fish heads in our house! He was sooo much happier afterwards. Came up to me for a massively affectionate extended head bump, bless.Yay, great news! And hopefully no fish heads.
Catching up with the cat thread - "Ooh, sojourner's posted, let's hope he's had a shit!!!"Hahaa, no, no fish heads in our house! He was sooo much happier afterwards. Came up to me for a massively affectionate extended head bump, bless.
Steroids may generally a) stimulate thirst and b) loosen the bowels. He's the opposite of that! Normally he drinks tons of water. So weird. Anyway, I am incredibly relieved (and so is he!), and will keep on with the milk/wet food/lactulose solutions.
