I got a proper look at Carrie's arch nemesis the fox today as it was quite near the back door (so much for the Scoot). It's really a beautiful creature in great condition with a fabulous coat, and suspiciously well fed

His Majesty is quite fond of the new treats (he had completely gone off lickilix and was growing indifferent to dreamies so I thought I would try something else). They really smell though.

She was by the cat flap just now, contemplating whether she wanted to go out, but wisely decided not to!

I love that you have an office cat. I did try to adopt a stray as a Uni cat (when I worked in HEI) but ridiculous bureaucracy nixed it (E.g. “I’m allergic”, “Cats are full of fleas”, etc ) so eventually someone in the library adopted the wee soul. I just couldn’t believe how many people objected to the proposal of the collective care of an unwanted soul. Hard hearted bastards

Ours discovered snow this week, didn't go well. Today they are sitting out in torrential rain and wandering in like sponges on legs

Spud Dutch-ovened me this morning. He was under the duvet with me, with the duvet pulled over our heads, and I was giving him his morning cuddle, when he suddenly decided he no longer wanted to be under the duvet, and left me under there with the stinkiest fart imaginable. He's a good boy!

They missed the obvious one of throwing up under the bed.

It doesn't matter how sound asleep I am, a cat has only got to start retching under the bed and I'm suddenly wide awake and shouting whatthehellareyoudoingunderthere!

Someone should invent an alarm clock that mimics that noise as I'd defy any cat owner to sleep through it.

Kizzy puked in the bedroom for the first time in aaages the other day, heard her from downstairs (luckily not in bed) so ran up and saw one little bit, cleaned it up and checked on her, washed hands went back to bedroom to get dressed and there was another quite a bit bigger bit so had to repeat the cleaning process
It was her eating too fast, again

Oh well, back for another enema tomorrow for our Jocks, unless he manages to go tonight. Steroids turn his bowels to stone. He did one tiny hard poo today, and two not quite as hard on Friday. Gonna cut out his dry food brekky, give him wet food only, lots of milk (he loves it), and keep on with the lactulose. I fear another bum trauma is inevitable though.
