This is quite sweet. Brazilian player fagner hearing the news he’s going to Russia. I guess the manager doesn’t call them first like here.
What's with the x:48?Some right moody kickoff times here for those of us on the other side...

Swear on your daughter's life?Currently has a 100% record at not being Jordan Henderson so he's an alright choice as far as I'm concerned.
Harry Kane as captain
Hopefully he won't be taking corners
hmmm, I'm not convinced this is a good decision. Has making your forward a captain ever worked, for any team, ever?Harry Kane as captain

France to win and Greizmann to be top scorer - 50/1Thinking about having a few small wagers anyone got anything juicy?
Cruyff and Maradona, but they were very special and never likely to be subbed.hmmm, I'm not convinced this is a good decision. Has making your forward a captain ever worked, for any team, ever?
I would have taken Dier over Kane.hmmm, I'm not convinced this is a good decision. Has making your forward a captain ever worked, for any team, ever?
Hmm... both more attacking midfielders I'd say - at least not the out-and-out striker that Kane is.Cruyff and Maradona, but they were very special and never likely to be subbed.
18 days to go. How excited are you?
I don't know if it's just because I've got other stuff going on these days, or the fact I've got more disillusioned with the top of the game as years go by, but definitely not as hotly anticipating this tournament as others. I know once it gets started I'll be into it, because I do love tournaments, but I keep forgetting it's coming, to be honest.
Yes I've had £20 on Mbappe top scorer at 33/1. He scored twice in their last game against Russia. First WC game is against Australia so he should get at least 5 hattricks thereThinking about having a few small wagers anyone got anything juicy?

Not all that great with it being Russia as well, homophobia, corruption and the like, though (similarly) I'll get into the football when it starts. Similar points could have course be said about plenty of previous football, athletics, Olympics venues, but that's the current state of my politically correct miserablism.18 days to go. Yeah, I know it gets stick but I'm a big fan of international football. Partly because I don't really have a club team any more, but also because, as you say, it's slightly more about breeding success rather than buying it (although only slightly...). Plus, as someone who plays football, those guys represent me - if it weren't for the 100,000s of players ahead of me, that might be me on the pitch! At least the World Cup is still about the best country who can play football, not just who can assemble the most expensive team and players. Plus, knockout competitions are infinitely more interesting than a drawn out season that has been won 3 months before it's even up.
Yeah, I wish I could believe I'll take the moral high ground and not watch, but I bloody will.
