Why do women stop going to gigs?

Going out alone this Friday, well there will probably be some acquaintances there but none of my close mates can afford it. Still don't want to miss out on it!

I've stopped because somehow I've ended up married to a man who's just not into music, and it kind of puts a damper on following it (TBF, he doesn't get to the cinema as often as he'd like because of me) and I've sort of lost touch with people I used to gig with most often. I also used to buy albums all the time, but these days I'd say I buy only 5 or 6 a year.

The other issue is because the occasional gig I want to see has always fucking sold out weeks ago by the time I hear about it and/or I can't afford the vast fortune tickets for anything with a capacity of over about 500 costs these days. Do go to small, odd gigs like steampunk bands, as other half is sufficiently amused by them, they're inexpensive, and don't sell out in 2.7 seconds.

I really like the small gigs now, they're certainly more fun :)

I don't know why this is, when I get to my 30's I certainly will still be going to gig's if I can! I love Lifehouse but they are rarely in the country so if they made an appearance again, nothing's going to stop me haha! :)
