Why do BMW and Audi owners often seem to drive like idiots?

Oh wait. You think all cyclists are 'knobheads', yes? And more than that, you're claiming that's what everyone else thinks of them too?
It was a bit of a blanket statement, and probably not entirely true. I guess it's like tarring all Audi drivers with the same brush. There are so many bad ones that it's easy to assume they're all like that.

I think it may have been more about comparing people to Jimmy Savile tbh.
He was banned was for relentless, disruptive, off topic personal attacks and innuendo. Repeatedly comparing a poster to Jimmy Savile is fucking disgusting.

But if anyone would like to complain about a poster being banned for randomly accusing another poster of being a pedophile, feel free to raise your objections in the feedback forum as it's not appropriate to continue the discussion in this thread.

No, lying is a deliberate action. I thought it was correct at time of posting but after giving it some thought, I corrected it, because I realised that surely all cyclists can't be knobheads.
Sounds like you have a very confused and easily changed mind. Perhaps you should immediately desist from posting up any further insulting and derogatory comments concerning large amounts of the population before you have thought things through properly.

I don't even understand that insult. :D

Comparing a poster to jimmy savile is shit though. Spy probably has some work he ought to be getting on with. :hmm:

Its become the norm with spy. Ride a bike? You're a nonce. Use the train instead of flying? You're a nonce.

Personally its the not the material I would open with, but here we are.

And it will become the norm to ban him if he continues such abusive behaviour against posters on his return.

Yep, that was well over the mark.

Re: arranging one of those "getting things done" type bans - would that be a matter of scrambling password and sending an email later for a reset, bundled with a donation to the server fund for your kind assistance?

It's a symptom of my Asperger's. There's not much I can do about it.

Savage people the VAT lot. Did you know that VAT inspectors are the most empowered people in Britain? They can do things that the police can't, unless they have a warrant.

Yep, my business is VAT registered, woe betide me if I were to be late with a payment, unlike the R part of HMRC who are far more relaxed :)

It's pretty automated. You don't have to involve the mods...

Ah, cool - is there a "self ban" section somewhere?

As you say, just scramble the password, then when you want to come back, do a password reset.

I mean if you really can't stay away you'll just do the password reset, but when I've needed a break, that's been enough.

Cheers :)

I'm not even sure there was a password reset back in the mists of time when I first looked (maybe there always was and I'm being a bit dim).
