If Mr Peanut says It's okay, then it is.
Yes dear.Sure. But the failing was yours rather than the car's. Nothing wrong with that. It happens.

No idea if this is true but when I was chatting to the salesmen when I bought my very sensible vauxhall insignia ecodrive estate and having to pretend gave a fuck about, and had some working knowledge of, cars, they were slagging m sport and amg, saying they've been completely devalued as bmw and merc stick it on any old shit now because idiot wankers will pay over the odds for the same car with a badge on
Anyway I echo A380 - welcome back Spymaster
You'd need to qualify your version of "lukewarm" really, given that it's unlikely to be many other people's. M Sport is styling and extras rather serious performance upgrading.M still has some chachet but they do but the 'M Sport' brand on some pretty lukewarm cars. However M Competition cars are still the real deal.
Do they no longer have hand built engines, with Klaus building an entire engine before signing his name to it?AMG is completely meaningless now. Merc would put it on a shopping trolley if they made one.

If it's just styling then the sport bit seems a bit misleading really doesn't it. I suppose Polo Sport didn't make you go faster either tbf
Depends. Pretty much all manufacturers have had "sport" versions of various models. As mentioned it usually means a few body styling mods, different wheels, suspension, and interior, rather than it necessarily being a faster car, although it may be. Most people know that so I don't think anyone who buys one would feel particularly misled. If it's just styling then the sport bit seems a bit misleading really doesn't it.

Your conclusion is probably correct but for the wrong reason. Most of the unintended silliness on the thread hasn’t come from them.I think this thread has now conclusively demonstrated that bmw and audi drivers idiotic behaviour goes well beyond actual driving.
But that’s only considering performance. Once again, that’s not what M Sport is. In this case it’s appended to a car which has undergone the relevant styling and handling surgery and signifies those differences comparative to other models in the series. The performance version is the M2, which IS seriously quick.BMW 218i M Sport Active Tourer. 135hp from its tyre shredding 1.5l IL3 engine.
Apology accepted.Yeah, sorry about that. It was posted with tongue firmly in cheek, as are most of my posts on these types of thread, but definitely OTT and not very funny. Sometimes I forget that I’m only really amusing myself with some of this stuff. Apologies.
science confirms what urban knows
If you drive an expensive car you're probably a jerk, scientists say | CNN
The science is looking pretty unanimous on this one: Drivers of expensive cars are the worst.edition.cnn.com
"pretty unanimous"
Ahem:That research highlights that all drivers are racist and sexist, yet the article focuses on the cost of the vehicle. Serious study
Ahem:
"The answers were unambiguous: self-centred men who are argumentative, stubborn, disagreeable and unempathetic are much more likely to own a high-status car such as an Audi, BMW or Mercedes," the press release states.
"These personality traits explain the desire to own high-status products, and the same traits also explain why such people break traffic regulations more frequently than others," Lönnqvist added."
