Yes. One of the narrower gauge lines. Spain being what it is, we have both standard gauge trains as the one seen here, and a wider gauge type operating on some of the other lines of the Madrid Metro network, because why the fuck notMadrid?
It was the Paris metro that "wtf'd" me. Run on tyres, with door handles that looked "less than secure".Yes. One of the narrower gauge lines. That’s quite the intense travelling you’ve been doing in the US in the last few days. Are you trying to recreate Planes, Trains and Automobiles by any chance?

Is the NY-DC route the one where they have high speed trainsets but there’s only a short stretch of line where they can run to 140 mph or so, the rest remaining a bog standard speed track?Ha! Am in Orlando now...

Have a work conference here Sunday-Tuesday. No point coming to the US for 3 days and I'm not a big Florida fan so did some meetings in NYC and DC (where I've also got a couple of sets of friends from university).
The train is the obvious way to get from NYC to DC (city centre to city centre) but was 50 mins late for a 3 hour journey).
No idea tbhIs the NY-DC route the one where they have high speed trainsets but there’s only a short stretch of line where they can run to 140 mph or so, the rest remaining a bog standard speed track?
I am on a train from Bromley South to London Bridge. First time I've ever done this journey, as it's not one you can usually do. Only available cos of engineering works.
It might sound wanky, and of course it’s made out to sound far better than it is going to be, but some lounges are better than others, and much of it is partly due to the decor and views available. Some of them in the UK now have individual ‘pod’ sears in addition to the usual armchairs in the more public areas of the lounge, which are superb for privacy/ relaxation. And who doesn’t like to have an uninterrupted view of the apron and runways?Looking forward to the variety of comfortable seating options and the views of the tarmac in the BA lounge, Orlando.

I’ve only been to one US airport business lounge so not enough to generalise about the average quality of lounges across the country, but the one I went to was indescribably shit- a windowless cantina with formica tables and plastic chairs that happened to offer free finger food and booze.Am in there now.
