What's in your glass?

Aldi Costières de Nîmes screwtop from 2008. I seem to remember it being insanely dark when I bought too much of it, but it's very smooth now - but still with a serious sour plum edge to it - wish I'd bought even more ... I'll be opening a St Emilion later from around the same time that had sadly lost its mouldy cellar character last time I opened a bottle.

Last of the bag in a box Red Cat Mr M's Porter . Then it's time to get stuck into the case of loveliness that arrived from Siren Craft today. There's a 440ml can of an 8.2% IPA in there somewhere.

Shepherd Neame "Bishop's Finger" BBF June 2014.

I was clearing the front garden and found a half bottle of something Belgian, tipped it out and remembered this bottle that had been kicking around the hall for years ...

My first taste of beer since around that time I suppose - very smooth :)

I'm feeling the need to drink more than my usual bottle of red a week...

Did a bit of bamboo chopping and worked up a thirst ...

Today's brew is "Spitfire" - 2012 Olympics label :)
BBF May 2013.

Once again I can't fault it - hopefully no singing to David Bowie today

Crabbies' alcoholic ginger beer March 2012
I seem to recall another bottle being too firey when I bought it, but very acceptable 8 years later.

I made cocktails, mojito for me. Nate not a massive fan of mint so I found a recipe for rocky cucumber which is vodka, lime, sugar syrup, cucumber, hot sauce, ice and soda water - went down a treat.

I don't know quite what happened in 2012.
I'm pleasantly surprised the beer I bought too much of is still OK.
