What's in your glass?

Badger "England's Gold"c.2010 ... a little more wheaty and floral / fruity than I like, but a decent vehicle for food ...

I came across some more stashed bottles - Bath Ales "Gem" from 2012 - probably not at its best - a bit cloudy - a bit cloudy and sulphurous perhaps - a bit citrussy - but not unpleasant.

I can't get Pernod around here for love or money, but I found I had some 100 percent vodka, so I put in a handful of star anise and so far, so good - a fair bit of flavour infused after a couple of hours without crushing the ingredients.
I've seen recipes that include licorice root, cinnamon and various other things ...

G&T - Morrison's London Dry Gin and their cheap tonic (3 bottles of mixers for £1) with ice and a slice - perfectly acceptable budget G&T
