What's for tea tonight? (pt7)

Pasta then

A 'bitsa' pasta tonight.
Mushrooms and tomatoes that needed using.
A little garlic.
Half a jar of tomato pasta sauce.
Half a jar of green pesto.
Some grated parmesan and a little cheddar.
Liberal black pepper.

Suprisingly nice :)

Lazy today after yesterday's feast (broad bean risotto, chops, tempura baby courgettes and cream cheese stuffed courgette flowers) and had leftovers of the above. Supplemented by a jerk pork chunk, kindly donated by a mate who was having a barbecue that happened to be within noseshot of my way home. This feeding someone else's cats lark has unexpected bonuses
 
Vietnamese chicken salad for me and the girl (no chilli for her).

I have a new scone dilemma - only enough CREAM left now for one scone (which we'll share tonight)....but that leaves three more SCONES now! :facepalm:

So do I go and buy more CREAM tomorrow, or will that mean getting sucked into an everlasting clotted cream/scone/clotted cream/scone buying cycle? :hmm:

Alternatively I could just try palming them off on the kids with BUTTER and jam, but tbf, they're in it for the clotted cream as much as I am. :cool:

We harvested some of our new potatoes last night so tea will involve new potatoes, and maybe something else - I can't be bothered to think about it, never mind do it today (cook, that is)
 
The littlun has demanded spag bol, which I could spice up with marinated tofu, but I want innit's tea. It'll be spag bol.
 
Don't have chapatis (or chapati flour) - do have rice...

it's all about the pennies round here :(
 
Well, I just don't know. I won't get home until 9pm, and I'll be on my own. So I don't really want to cook that late. So I could just have dinner from the work canteen. But it's never very good. I don't know.
 
It's either fried rice with ribs and some kind of chicken stir fry (holy basil and cashew?) or a pasta with italian sausages today, dependent on what time I'm home
 
It was going to be cottage pie and peas with some bought mince but the butcher has just rung to say our bullock's ready so I'm pondering steak and chips now :hmm:
