crackers / pitta dipped into various things - iffy hummous and stinky French cheese.

washed down with alternately Chenet's Merlot and Old Peculiar
 
I tried a new recipe of teryaki marinated chicken with vegetable egg fried rice. It was really good and now I'm more than a little bit in love with sesame oil *licks lips*
 
It was Canada Day today, so we quit working early and took the Seasonal Two out to a long, leisurely, late lunch at the Korean/Japanese place in town. Much sushi and bulgogi were consumed and I think I had some of the best kimchi ramyun I've ever had anywhere. Beer, of course, and a Canada cake with homemade ice cream when we got home.
 
i know.....my appetite is gone....i used to love to eat certain foods, i mean really enjoy it. not now. hrumph :\



i didnt even eat the the pickle in the end.....gotta sort that, my appetite i mean. :\

aaaaaaaaah no,i hope it doesnt come to that and some form of appetite comes back.....but id try em at a push til i am able to eat again just for the kids sake if nothing else....


fucking depression, id almost forgotten all the shite that comes with it, my selective memory just remembered the laid in bed for days at a time crying...


forgot all this other goood stuff....im gonna give it til mid-week(ish) and if ive not gotten any proper filling food, im gonna try those....but ick! :\
 
How about some fruit smoothies with some seeds blended in too, MA?


Last night I decided to do char sui pork, so needed to marinate it overnight, so instead we had smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels again with a bit of salad on the side.

So tonight is the pork and rice and pak choi, spinach, peas and green beans with oyster sauce.

Celebratory pink fizz followed by normal pink wine and vege burger, roasted corn on the cob, potato wedges and mahoosive salad.
 
My mum's coming and is bringing steaks and nice bread to do posh bbq'd steak sarnies. :cool:

Going to make a salad with tomatoes and my french beans and maybe some griddled courgettes if there's any big enough.

Still need to use tons more pak choi and spinach :facepalm: but I can't quite be fucked to fit them into a salady meal today.

For pudding, we're going to attempt to eat more of the vile lime and almond cake which I've taken out of hiding (in the freezer). :(
I'm hoping she'll like it and then I can send her back home with the rest of it. :cool:
 
Spinach and goats cheese flaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan (with homemade goats cheese) homegrown new potatoes, shop bought green beans :oops: Oh the shame
 
I did say and/or budget :D I don't have kids but I often already know what I'll have for tea.

that said I haven't a clue for tonight :(
