Dinner-based disaster last night.
I was looking forward to cooking tea all day - sad as it sounds, my day was a bit rubbish and I was cheering myself up with the thoughts of making a fancy pastry tart, having a glass of wine, and chilling.
So I made a really lovely goats' cheese tart with shopped red peppers, prosciutto ham and fresh thyme. It looked mint. I liked it so much I took a photo of it.
I took it out of the oven to cool down but left it on top of the hob. It's an induction hob that doesn't 'glow' when heated - totally forgot I'd had the hob on- walked out of the room to let the tart cool and when I came back the oven dish was broken and smoking and the tart ruined
I then consoled myself with some wine and remembered why I don't drink white wine as I vommed all over the garden
Maybe I'll try a new tart again today. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY, WE CAN REBUILD
