What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Doing the chicken fillet burgers with mayo/salad in baps tonight...nice and easy  ...brought back some coleslaw from work, too, so that on the side.
Raspberry yoghurt for pudding.

Grilled chicken, peppers and tomatoes with spinach, avacado and apple. Drizzled with virgin oiled hot pepper sauce (extra virgin olive oil blended with a dollop of hot pepper sauce).

Chocolate for afters.

fishy soup

I drank a bowl of the reheated chicken stock from the other night plain. It was gorgeous. I'm using the rest to make fishy soup.

First I fried off onions in some oil and butter, then added rice. Then the remains of the chicken stock, then some coconut milk. Then some spinach. Then one trout fillet from the freezer, defrosted and rubbed with jerk spices, and flaked up into little pieces. May add some peas at the end, but it's just cooking away nicely now.

It smells good even if it's a bit of a random mix of stuff

Burgers

Finest steak burgers served in a choice of standard seeded burger buns or ciabatta rolls.
I've also got smoked cheese slices, gherkins, lettuce, onions and tomato sauce which can be added to taste.

Sides will be curly fries (a special request from the boy), onion rings and coleslaw.

Excellent EXCELLENT!

I'm a having ASDA's curry with oven chips and lager.

hope you dont mind me asking, what are you stripping for?:)
Life sketch class - need the money. £15 per hour, it was a 2 hour sesh, but it's full of really elderly people and they take ages to start, then have a massive tea break, so really it's only about an hour and 10 minutes of posing - result

Anyway, having a somewhat fucking stressful day today so first for tea tonight I am going to pour a bottle of wine down my fucking neck. Then another one. Then I might have some mozzarella cheeseburgers, chips and salad. If I can still see straight.

I was chatting to keithy about life modelling at the last urban meet...I'm still really keen to try it. Around here it seems like you have to pay to join a model's register before you can do most classes though.

Aldi stew plus Aldi hotpot.
I'm somewhat hooked on this at the moment.

The hotpot in particular is very moreish - especially mixed with baked potato.
I'll be getting in stacks more of that.

Perfect winter fuel.

Tom Sum (spicy papaya salad) followed by Prawn green curry and sticky rice.
Omg, that sounds amazing!

We went to a funny little West African place that's just opened up nearby and had some big pile of rice stuff with some veggie stuff on top (there was no menu). The veggie option tasted a bit meaty but we just ignored that... The whole set up was very weird though with only two tables and eight chairs in the place with the oddest decor I have ever seen, and had seemingly random people coming and going through a sidedoor all night too. Their homemade chilli sauce was amazing though and seemingly made from chillies sourced from the pits of hell. Spicy.

Ooh, got some mushrooms in the fridge so could have toast with butter fried mushrooms for breakfast tomorrow - thanks for the idea.

I could live off mushrooms fried in butter. Or least until my arteries clogged up...

Warm gazpacho soup with feta cheese, wholemeal toast with green olive tapenade. Pudding was yoghurt-coated raisins.

Last night my sister cooked roast lamb, accompanied by niece-made Dauphinoise potatoes. Chocolate cake for pud.

I made avgolemono soup earlier this week. It was too thick though. Fewer avgos next time, I think.
