What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Steak again  The other sirloin from the 2 pack I got the other day. Chunky chips, big mushroom, tomato, salad. Can't wait, facking starving atm

Pasta with ham, cream, and some kind of green veg depending on what's in the shop. Either peas or asparagus :)

Scrap that. The boy wants curry and as he cycled over 110 miles yesterday it seems churlish to refuse on the basis of my diet :D So chicken dhansak and accompaniments it is

hot chocolate, and cinnamon porridge.
You should try the Nordic version of rice porridge - cooked in milk and served hot, with sprinklings of cinnamon and sugar (you can skip the sugar), with a nice fat blob of butter in the middle, like so

tell me what rice porridge is, and you're on :)

Was going to go to Gourmet San as I was too late to go to it last night, but I picked the one night of the year it was closed, so I'm having Wiltshire Ham & Brie Crepes and minty green veg, then fillet steak with Yorkshire puddings and both Bearnaise and Red Wine & Shallot sauces.
And rice pudding.
What a pig I am

Leftover roast shoulder of lamb will be fried in chipotle sauce for Mexican wraps with refritos.

Why do you keep buying/cooking for people you clearly can't stand, and who appear to be totally taking you for a ride?

Stanley Edwards

this was for you ^^

We had veggie hot dogs last night. Was on a bit of a (possibly hormonal) downer and could not be arsed.

Still there really, and fella's off out to rehearsal so it's probably beans on toast.

I had the most boring pasta dish ever last night. Just penne with a really bland Sainsburys tomato and chilli sauce and some cheese.
Thing is there is loads left and I don't want to bin it so really boring pasta again tonight :(

Very similar yes, altho I believe over here it's usually served cold as a dessert?

I know our rice pudding is traditionally served hot but I much prefer it cold. The canned Ambrosia stuff that is.
My mum used to give me little pots of it in my lunch box as a kid as it was one of the few higher calorie things I would it (I was underweight).

Can you do something to jazz it up? Like roast some veg and stir in or er, fry some garlic and chilli.

Don't have any veg apart form cabbage. Do have chilli and garlic though. Could do that.
I suppose I could shred the cabbage and fry it with chilli and garlic :hmm:

No capers or anchovies you could put in there?

We have both and I love both but Badgers doesn't eat fishy friends and I don't think he likes capers
