What's for tea tonight? (#8)

In a strange sort of funk. I got a big pot of chicken soup ready to eat, but might go out for chips just because

We've decided on the laziest option. Garlic and herb tortellini with roasted veg stir in sauce and garlic bread.

i made chickpea and courgette patties, flavoured with coriander, lime, spring onion and chilli. There was a fair amount of garlic and ginger in there. Oh and cumin and paprika. Had them stuffed into toasted whole meal pitta bread. I grated the courgette, it were yum.

Chinese shrimp soup.

Finely chopped garlic, onion, chili, ginger and (some seeds I found in the cupboard) with ground black pepper in a small amount of olive oil. Allow to soften.

Add sliced leeks, chopped peppers, carrots, red peppers and green (spring onions).

Simmer for an hour!

Add sliced potatoes, vegetable stock and mint. Simmer.

Stir in the shrimps with garden peas. Add about a Litre of water. Simmer.

I'm still waiting TBH. Could be another hour.

Serve with bread and salad.

I'm fasting but before I started I ate half of a spinach and ricotta pizza and some pie that was left over from last night.

A veg fest for me today - sautéed leeks and garlic, crushed spuds and maybe some roasted tomatoes that need using up. Might chuck in a bit of cabbage, but not too much given the side effects the next day.

Pork belllleh! Going to start it off when I get home, then go sit in the park for a couple of hours while it slowly roasts.

Curly kale with garlic and steamed veg to go with.

Salad tonight I think :hmm:

Lettuce, rocket, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and a light dressing.

Not sure what to have with it yet. Maybe some feta and (GREEN) olives :hmm:

Right, well, the fella's deffo off out tonight, band practice. So he'll be on pasta and sauce (LG or pesto), and we've got a bit of chorizo doing nowt in the fridge, so I'll make penne in chorizo and tomato sauce (Spanish stylee) for me and our lass, and have with salad.

Might have a cheeky voddie too. We did a very lazy tat at Beatherder and came away with 12 cans of Bud, and most of a big bottle of cheap voddie

Dunno again! Still got burgers in the fridge which either need to be eaten or frozen today. Got chorizo, lamb chops, veg.

I hate deciding what to have. I fancy jerk chicken with rice and peas thanks to that thread but that involves shopping and I'm not sure I can face it.

Got sister-in-law staying this week. She's heard I cook a lot but so far I've fed her pasta arrabatia and tonight is baked spuds so she's starting to look a bit disappointed :D

I'd better pull something out of the bag on Wednesday.

:D I tell people about my love of cooking, invite them round for sommat to eat, and it always degenerates into us all getting totally pissed, and eating crisps

I was singing this to my boy tonight....(while I served him a 'melt in the middle' :hmm: haddock fish cake with PILES OF PSB May Kasahara :hmm:  :D )...

<3

I'm on the fackin lager, myself  (I have never sweated so much through WORK :D as I have in the last couple of days...omfg! )

Happy BOILING Tuesday, thread! <-- *mega sweats*

Bulgar wheat salad with broad beans and onion and mustard dressing and then loads of hot sauce. It was actually quite nice. The cupboard/ leftovers/ my mum's garden saw me ok.

Spag bol from the freezer with 49 cent Tesco spaghetti (wont be getting again) and extra mature Wexford cheddar. The sauce was good and despite the pasta, was lapped up in silence, with eyes closed.:)

They wants bbq. Defrosted some boigers, pickney Cumberlands and a bag of pork ribs. Can't be bothered to make bbq sauce so I just bought a bottle of it and will add some chipotle paste for heat to marinade the ribs in. Halloumi, veggie burger, mushrooms & peppers for the veggie littlun. Lager spliff reggae lager spliff reggae lager.

My folks have given me a load of veg from the allotment, so maybe a big fuck off summer vegetable stir fry.

I have a Sainsburys fishpie that needs to be eaten by today but I may just cook it and give it to the dog. There's really no choice between a plateful of garden veg or a supermarket processed fishpie :hmm:
