Biddlybee - I'm with zenie - I feed myself AND the kids cooked chicken well into the week after doing one on a Saturday/Sunday without worrying about it, as standard (although I do realise you'd have to take extra care). It's half the point of doing the roast, eh!
Firky - I've had buff steak loads of times in Nepal and it was never dry! Big, fat, moist, tender, tasty fuckers....OMG!
Pricey here though!
I took a chicken breast and a pot of homemade tomato and basil sauce out of the freezer last night, fried the sliced chicken with some thyme and did a pasta bake with chicken in the middle and layers of mozzarella and some green beans on the side.
The kids liked it but it tasted of MASSIVE MEH to me
so I saved my portion for my son to have in his packed lunch and had a smoked salmon, cream cheese and cress sandwich and bag of beef Space Raiders instead, which was much more what I felt like.
The kids had scones that my daughter made in after school club (slightly flat
) with my mum's apple and damson jam and squirty cream....and I had a tiny bit of the chocolate brownies I made for their lunches (which was overcooked, so chocolate
cake ).
