What's for tea tonight? (#8)

A couple of times, yes, after the usual omission of onion and substituting extra garlic etc. It's more or less quite a wet vegetable curry and you add hardboiled eggs in the last half hour to warm up and take on the flavours.

Nice one, but why omit onion? Allergy or dislike...or?

I refried the remains of last night's rice/chicken/lentil mix with some olive oil and pre-grilled spicy pork and chorizo sausages. So lush.

Biddlybee - I'm with zenie - I feed myself AND the kids cooked chicken well into the week after doing one on a Saturday/Sunday without worrying about it, as standard (although I do realise you'd have to take extra care). It's half the point of doing the roast, eh! :D

Firky - I've had buff steak loads of times in Nepal and it was never dry! Big, fat, moist, tender, tasty fuckers....OMG! Pricey here though! :(

I took a chicken breast and a pot of homemade tomato and basil sauce out of the freezer last night, fried the sliced chicken with some thyme and did a pasta bake with chicken in the middle and layers of mozzarella and some green beans on the side.

The kids liked it but it tasted of MASSIVE MEH to me :hmm: so I saved my portion for my son to have in his packed lunch and had a smoked salmon, cream cheese and cress sandwich and bag of beef Space Raiders instead, which was much more what I felt like. :D

The kids had scones that my daughter made in after school club (slightly flat :D ) with my mum's apple and damson jam and squirty cream....and I had a tiny bit of the chocolate brownies I made for their lunches (which was overcooked, so chocolate cake  ).

I've had takeaway pizza 3 nights in a row now

You're gonna have to go for the BIG 7 now, 23 ( <-that's correct eh, '23'? I know we've had a small debate about it previously but I can't recall the outcome  :p )!!
It's like a once in a lifetime opportunity...and you've almost passed the half way point now

Whatever we have tonight it'll be the first home-cooked meal in our new gaff. FYI the first meal was a take-away pizza last night. Any suggestions folks? Before anyone says it - no I won't be making curry nor fish&chips.

I'm getting back late tonight after bouldering, so will be having boring but quick pasta and mackerel and sweetcorn tonight.

I'm starting to want alcohol. I think it's cos the first festie of the year is rearing its beautiful head. That, and I'm just gagging for a drink really.
